We are exploring live streaming options.. I have a little knowledge, but am getting stuck at the main piece of equipment, a camera. I know I need a transcoder or video input device and I plan on using open broadcaster since I'm very familiar with how it works.. I just can't seem to find any good info on a cheaper video camera that supports live HDMI output. I see a lot of references to some being able to play a movie through the HDMI, but nothing about a live view. I can go a dSLR route, but I'm worried about limitations with heat from the sensors being on too long. Any camera recommendations? I'd like to stay out of the pro line of cameras as its just too much for our budget right now.

Thanks!

+Paul Alan Clifford brings up some good points, but I prefer the Desktop PC route as long as you can ensure it's stability. If you have a mixed skill-set staff, then definitely follow Paul's advice.

I'm really shocked we called them out on it. Finally.
The breach compromised the data of more than 800,000 employees, according to the Postal Service.

If you have Verizon, you should consider changing.
Verizon users might want to start looking for another provider. In an effort to better serve advertisers, Verizon Wireless has been silently modifying its users' web traffic on its network to inject a cookie-like tracker. This tracker, included in an HTTP header called X-UIDH, is sent to every unencrypted website a Verizon customer visits from a mobile device.

Holy crap.. If I impersonated someone else I could go to jail... Now the DEA thinks they are above the law too.
WASHINGTON — Facebook wants assurances from the Drug Enforcement Administration that it's not operating any more fake profile pages as part of ongoing investigations. Facebook's chief security officer, Joe Sullivan, said in a letter Friday to DEA Administrator Michele Leonhart that law enforcement agencies need to follow the same rules...

Dropbox was hacked. If you use the service, change your password and also if you use that same email and password anywhere else, you will need to change those too. The lists are legit and its a whole lot of people...

I use Dropbox for a few things, but now I'm rethinking it, and any cloud service, to be honest...

Ridiculous.
There’s an intense debate right now over “Common Core,” an effort to implement a set of education standards in public schools nationwide. The Common Core S

Introduction

What defines you? How do you really define anyone, or anything?

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

I am a Christian, devoted husband, and caring father. My day job is software developer/IT Manager at a small software company, but my work and my hobbies no longer define who I am..

We have gone there about 6 times now. This place is awesome! The food is not expensive, but it's still pretty high quality. Their cream of broccoli soup is excellent. The service has always been top notch. Every time we go somewhere else, we end up wishing we would have gone to Nick's instead!

The staff is very friendly and the environment is comfortable and relaxing. Dr. Jody is very good and knowledgeable. When I had some severe back issues he didn't mess around and try things out, he pointed me in all the right directions. If it wasn't for Dr. Jody, I may not be walking today.

I have had a few appointments with Jeff Topolewski now and he is a top notch eye care professional. He listened to every concern I had and presented very informative answers that helped me to decide which options were best for me. The office is very clean and the staff is very professional and friendly. Finding a better eye care provider would be extremely difficult.
