If you missed the solar eclipse a couple weeks back, here's are two images taken from the #newgooglemaps. Pretty breathtaking!

If you have access to the new Google Maps, there's a hidden feature that is dependent on system time:  an accurate solar eclipse. If you set your clock back to 5pm PDT, Thursday, May 9th and look northeast of Australia, you'll see what we saw as we were testing the new version.   If you zoom out, you can even see the moon in front of the sun!

I've been going to this studio for a week and my body feels truly transformed. I've been struggling with my right hip for over a year, and this technique engages muscles that were previously turned off. The teachers are great and you can try 2 weeks unlimited for $60.

El Pulpo is a diamond in the rough, located on a street with many auto repair shops and strip malls. But as soon as you walk into this restaurant you feel transported. The place is filled with white table cloths, friendly staff, a great wine list and food to die for. If this place was in West Hartford Center it would be impossible to get a table! We had nearly all the tapas they offer. I'd particularly recommend the brussel sprout salad, baked goat cheese, roasted vegetables, garlic shrimp and peppers stuffed with lamb. We drank two bottles of spanish red and ended the meal with chocolate lava cake and an amazing orange flan. I will definitely be back here the next time I'm in town.

Want a rug? Want a mattress? Want a box spring? This place has it all. The owner is so nice and will give you a refund on anything you buy. I got a recommendation on this place and would recommend it to others. Plus it's in SF so very convenient if you live in the city.

I used to work in Embarcadero and got invited by a friend to eat at Stone Kitchen. It was absolutely delicious, and the emphasis on small plates made a leisurely happy hour turn into dinner. We ate dumplings, green beans, tuna, fried rice, fish & chips and bi bim bap. Everything was delicious, and they had quite a few white wines to choose from. I wish I had an excuse to go back here because it really was a wonderful meal.

This is a tiny hole in the wall place with blue walls and a Michael Jackson poster on the wall. I brought 3 pairs of shoes in and we had a consultation about what needed fixing, what her recommendation was, what material she would use. My shoes turned out EXACTLY like we had talked about. Will definitely be going back. Bring your cash, they don't take cards. So worth it for a pair of shoes you love.

If you like perfectly cooked steak, do not miss this elegant, delicious restaurant. Bacon wrapped scallops are a must-have appetizer, as are the sliders. They offer a wide array of steaks and sides, and also have lamb, chicken and fish options. This is a great date place.

I went to House of Air on a work retreat and it was a blast. The main attraction was trampoline dodgeball which we played via a bracket that lasted 90 minutes. It was a great way to get exercise and encourage some friendly competition amongst co-workers. The highlight for me was the big "field" of trampolines in the back. Something about jumping put a huge grin the face of even the most serious adults. It was a great workout too. I'd definitely play dodgeball again with a big group of friends, but with a small group it is really fun to just jump.
