Virante Author Rank and the role of social signals
http://www.rankwise.net/article/6/virantes-author-rank-and-the-role-off-social-signals

Yesterday +Mark Traphagen announced the release of the beta version of Virante’s Author Rank calculation tool. It can be found at http://beta.authorrank.org.

SEO is dead? Long life Author Rank!
No this does not mean SEO does not play a role anymore. Even the best written articles need to be optimized for search engines as they are machines and we need to be unambiguous about what is what, how important we deem it to be and where it can be found. This means we still need to think carefully about what we write about, how you write it down and what title, description, headings and images/other media you are going to use and how you use them so it will enhance the user experience.

What is Virante's Author Rank and how does it work?
I will discuss Virante Author Rank, the general principle of social signals, Author Rank and plain old SEO to provide more insight in the matter of how to optimize SERP positions and maximize the impact.

+Mark Traphagen and +Virante Search Marketing  Thanks sharing!
