For weeks I have been sharing about things that we need to release so that we can fully serve Jesus, such as worshiping idols, pride, etc. Today, I want to summarize the sixteen dead ends and then encourage you with God’s blessings. All of this is so that we can leave a legacy for our children that is dynamic and God-centered. #ChristianFamilyLegacy

One legacy that is often overlooked is how we deal with pain, both emotional and physical. What is the message that you have communicated to your children about how you handle the pain in your life? This can be one of the most powerful tools that God gives us to share our trust in God. #ChristianFamilyLegacy #Pain

One of the most controversial subjects in the church is the “Tithe”. Is it a New Testament directive or not? Is it merely an easy way to talk about money for the church by pastors? Since so few Tithe 10%, is the message just not resonating with Christians or do they not see God’s purpose and rewards? Or is the discussion of “Tithe” the wrong message? #ChristianFamilyLegacy #Tithing

If you visited my blog last week, you know that the great escape has more to do with addictions than anything else. Last week I talked almost exclusively about alcoholism and leaving a legacy of freedom from the crutches in life. E. Stanley Jones gives an expanding understanding of this escape in defining what it is not. #ChristianFamilyLegacy

When we get older, we have a sense of truth and emotional maturity that is a blessing to our children and treasure to our grandchildren. How can that help them so that the legacy of maturity benefits them now and not when they get older? #ChristianFamilyLegacy

I believe that Jesus demonstrated delight moment by moment. In fact, if all of us were in a room and he walked in, we would be struck by his charismatic smile and warmth. The reason would be that he would not see any of our weaknesses or sins; he would delight in each of us. He would look into our soul and we would smile with our own delight with the love He had for us. #ChristianFamilyLegacy #EstatePlanning #Delight

Leaving a Legacy for our children, as you can see from my many blogs, is no small responsibility. God calls us to a higher purpose when we have children. He lays a heavy burden of truth and direction. I am sure, like me, that you take it seriously, but do you have the awareness of yourself enough to know what you have exposed the children to that may not be God-focused? #ChristianFamilyLegacy #Selfishness #Children

This is a question that, at one time or another, if we are honest, have all asked in our walk with Christ (or maybe even before walking with him) Whether a senseless death, chronic illness, our children making a horrible decision or a spouse that is abusive or has an affair, the question is the same: why does God allow this to happen?

This is the third and final blog in a series on curing yourself of the dreaded resentment that you may have toward someone in your life who, may or may not deserve the hatred. We have already reviewed 8 solutions in the last two blogs and now we will finish with the final three. #ChristianFamilyLegacy

In my last blog, I discussed the first four steps of eleven to releasing yourself of this dreaded disease called resentment (hate). Today I am going to tackle 4 more. Again, understand this is something I have had to address in my own life. I don’t think you can escape from resentment because this is a world filled with unbelievers and evil. When it touches you, your humanity rears its head and your dependence on God’s grace is the only solution.#ChristianFamilyLegacy #ReleasingHate
