In today's deeply interdependent world, war is outdated and illogical. All regions, and all peoples, are interconnected environmentally, economically, and politically. War, oppression or civil strife in one area inevitably affects people in other parts of the world.

For you photography enthusiasts like me...
A GOOGLE+ EXCLUSIVE CONTEST

EVER WANT TO HAVE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY WORK PUBLISHED IN A MAJOR BOOK? One that you could find on Amazon, Barnes and Nobel and many other major retailers around the world? Now is your chance!

I am in the middle of writing a book titled "Google+ for Photographers" where I not only showcase how to use Google+, but I also focus on the importance of social networking and building your own brand for your photography work in the digital age. Throughout the book there will be interviews with some of the incredibly talented professional photographers we have here on G+ such as +Alex Koloskov, +Scott Jarvie, +Elena Kalis, +Jay Patel , +Varina Patel, +Brian Matiash and others. This is where you fit in. In the comments below, I want you to write a mini essay on why you think Google+ is so great for photographers. It has to be under 300 words and you will also need to include a link to some of your photography work. On December 2nd I will select TWO winners that will have full page spreads in the book, showcasing their bio, the winning essay and a handful of their images for the world to see. But that is not all. I will also select 10 more individuals to have their essays published on the books home page website along with some of their work as an indication of the amazing photography community we have growing here.

TO ENTER
- In the comments below, write a short essay on why you feel Google+ is so great for photographers (In 300 words or less). Title your comment as "*CONTEST ENTRY*", or it might get missed.

It looks like a Lexus too...
Good thing the engine was in front!

A couple had a very lucky escape after nearly reversing their car off a 15m drop in Changsha, capital of southern China's Hunan Province. The man and woman were parked on the top of a car park when the incident happened. It is thought that whoever was driving mistakenly trod on the accelerator, causing the car to reverse. This sent it smashing through the wall around the edge of the car park and left the vehicle teetering precariously over the 15m drop below. The couple were forced to crawl carefully out from the vehicle and were luckily uninjured.

Just watch Riding Giants documentary flick... this guys are outrageous. They are MILES away from shore... they use boats and seadoos to chase the best waves in the wide open ocean. In this case, Mavericks is off the coast of Half Moon Bay here in San Fran Bay Area...

Tips on Google+
Let's build an awesome-tastic Google+ community together!
would love to have some MEGA re-shares on this baby

In these few easy steps you can maximize your Google+ experience.
Here are the tips and tricks you should know and evangelize:

Send Feedback button - In the lower right hand corner you can report bugs and give us your feature suggestions!

Google+ Discuss Forum - Join the conversation about Google+ here and chat with other Google+ community members. Please don’t use the forum for feature suggestions - it’s hard for us to keep track there - use the Send Feedback button instead. http://www.google.com/intl/en/+/learnmore/forum/

What’s New In Google+ page - The Google+ Team is frequently updating this page to let you know the latest and greatest in Google+ (spread the word new stuff comes out)! Many of these announcements are direct reflections of what you all have asked for. Keep it up!
http://www.google.com/support/+/bin/static.py?hl=en&page=release_notes.cs&rd=1

Is someone bugging you? - Use the “Block” button on any profile, this means 1) You will no longer see this person’s content in your stream, 2) This person won’t be able to comment on your content, 3) This person will be removed from your circles, and 4) This person will still be able to see your public posts. Also use the “Mute post” feature in the Stream when someone’s post is too much for you.

Report a profile - Let’s build the community we want by reporting abuse that is in violation of our Community Standards. You can Report a profile from any Google+ profile.

the About section of my profile - I update this frequently! Here you will find some information if you (or friends and family) are new - definitely share these posts from +Ahmed Zeeshan. I’ve added every Google Community Manager on this page so you can follow them to get updates on your favorite Google products and services. Make sure to add the Google+ Community Team - +Toby Stein +Brian Rose +Katherine Gramann +Evan Steinberg. You can also find information about suspended accounts.

+mentioning Community Managers - We love being engaged with Google+ and connecting with users all over the world, but unfortunately there isn’t enough time in the day to read and respond to every +mention and share. We’ll certainly do our best to help and listen where we can, and communicate directly to you via our Google+ profiles and Hangouts often.

Feedback Fridays - Every other week we will have Feedback Friday where I’ll post some questions to you from my profile. This is your chance to share your voice directly to the product team for the bi-weekly Google+ Community Report.

Thanks Much!

Natalie, Community Manager for the Google+ project
