An interesting blog post on SMBs and the evolution of Google customer service on Forbes.com. Many of you will be working either on our advertising products or directly with our advertisers this summer.

"Google Customer Service Steps Into The Spotlight" (Forbes, May 5): "Google is announcing a customer service initiative that includes support via video chat direct with their experts — effective immediately. They’ve also announced that they’ve improved their CSAT (customer satisfaction) scores by 100% recently."
Google announces a customer service initiative that includes support via video chat direct with their experts, and 100% improved CSAT (satisfaction) scores. So is "Google customer service" no longer an oxymoron?

The world is filled with lots of information; learning to make sense of it all helps us to gain perspective and make decisions. We’re pleased to share tools and techniques to structure, visualize, and analyze information in our latest self-paced, online course: Making Sense of Data (http://goo.gl/aIzG9L)

Making Sense of Data is intended for anybody who works with data on a daily basis, such as students, teachers, journalists, and small business owners, and who wants to learn more about how to apply that information to practical problems. Knowledge of statistics or experience with programming is not required.

Making Sense of Data runs from March 18 - April 4, 2014. Visit g.co/datasense to learn more and register today. We look forward to seeing you make sense of all the information out there!

Join our summer program: Google AdCamp

Are you a university student in Australia or New Zealand interested in learning more about Google products and gaining insight into the online advertising industry?

We're offering up to 30 students the chance to come to our Sydney offices to take part in Google AdCamp from January 13-16, 2013. Open to second and third year students, this all-expense-paid program will allow you to connect with Googlers, compete in an advertising case-study competition, and build a peer network through social events.

Get in quick as applications close on November 23:

I'm glad to see the AdCamp program is being expanded into other countries. I really enjoyed being part of the first one this last summer. :)

Hey interns!  We heard that there may be some confusion with housing this summer. Google is not providing corporate housing of any kind  - just relocation bonuses that will help cover whatever housing you choose.

If you opt to go through one of the vendors (Synergy or National) you're responsible for covering the cost of your housing. You'll receive your relocation stipend (which is taxed) in your first paycheck.

If you have questions, feel free to email us! See you really soon :)

If you're a BOLD intern, don't forget to add boldteam@google.com to your  contacts so important messages don't go to spam. If you do feel like we're spamming you, you can just tell us :)

Hi everyone! Just wanted to clarify that there are two types of interns in this community - MBA and undergrad. For the undergrad interns, you can disregard the posts about New York. The MBA program provides the opportunity for MBA interns to visit Google offices ahead of the summer. For the undergrad interns, we're looking forward to seeing you on your start date!

Sorry Isaac and Dan - let my amend "MBA" to "graduate student". You're in the right place.
