I got into the Shadowrun RPG and lore when it first came out circa 1989. We'll gloss over the fact tat this playthrough has been up here for 2 years, and that I'm only just watching it now ... The whole UB and bug spirits has been around since the early days so, when they (the UB) first made their appearance early on in the game, my initial thought (as I suspect was shared by many) was one of "Oh bugger!", and had a reasonable idea of the general direction the storyline was going to take. Well, got to watch this episode now ...

I know hat you mean - I generally fell out of love with GW/GW games around 3 years ago. I don't have anything against the new Age of Smegma images and rumours, I simply don't care!
GW seemed to make a decision a while back, that their games should be designed to be inherently broken, and promote power gaming, so that people would have to keep spending more and more money on increasingly stupid models, in order to be able to really play the games ... and, of course, the munchkins lapped this up.
I've always been a fan of the "smallhammer" concept - small points games of Fantasy or 40K - they can be more tactical, in both the playing, and the army selection.

+Graeme Collin Jup. That's a reason why Zone Mortalis is my favourite game mode in 40k these days. Low points and with that not much room for people to go mad with silly combos, etc.
Sadly most people's mentality tends to always go for bigger and more!
I had that phase when apocalypse came out and still enjoy me a silly apoc game once a year, but apart from that I am happy with my games being half way balanced and done in 2-3 hours max. :)

Loving the little vignettes ... have you ever considered having one of the toilet compartments occupied, just for giggles? I know it'll never be seen with the body in place, but you'll know it's there ...

+Graeme Collin I actually did think about it Graeme, my warped sense of humour said go it but after a week of doing these coaches I decided against it because of time but who knows for the second rake that I need to do next, maybe, just maybe. . . ;-) ..............Graham

Ronnie's got KoW2 due out sometime soon, hasn't he? I'm sure he'll be more than happy to talk about that in more detail ... in fact, it's around the same kind of time as WHFB9, isn't it? You could do a massive head-to-head KoW vs FB mega-show ...

Oh, I think Gav's usually up for it ... and Ronnie's usually up for any chance to promote Mantic ... and Alessio, of course ...

They'll be waiting till next week to send the mic out, because they'll probably have to order it in, and that's when they're getting it delivered ...

That's the big question, isn't it? Is German sausage really good, or is it the wurst?
Me? I like German sausage ...

Love the old Class 22s - there was one that was purchased from BR by a private individual, but was accidentally cut up at Swindon before he could retrieve it - he was offered a Class 42 instead, which was to become the first ex-BR diesel to enter preservation. Shame, really.

How difficult being unemployed for a time. I luckily was able to retire after 43 continuous years of employment. All the best, Rob

A real coup would be to try to get Rick Priestley on - I'm sure he'd love to talk about Gates of Antares ... :)

Lol ... I was on about the "school" training (you were doing a training course, or something, weren't you?), rather than gym training ... lmao

I like the two-headed idea - he's obviously twins, and keeps squabbling with himself ... lol
