Gazzano's Italian Deli

Shared publicly  -
Hi Guys and welcome to our Google+ page.

Sorry we have not posted till now but this internet stuff has been a bit crazy. The new website has been up for a month of testing in July and went better than we could have hoped for. We disabled the purchase button in August so we could begin the long process of uploading the rest of our products ready for going live in September and what a job that had been. We are almost done, just a few more to go. We look forward to seeing you all online or in store soon.

Ciao for now

I love Gazzanos!! This deli feels as if it were plucked straight out of a sun-kissed Italian piazza and plonked on Farrington Road! They stock quality Italian ingredients but not at inflated prices like some Italian delis I could mention! Whatever you’re looking for: pasta, olives, cheese, salami, cured meats, Italian biscuits, panettone, oils, wines, spirits; it’s all there. It’s easy to leave with much more than you intended to buy – such is the array of tempting products. Joe (the owner) is a great character, who will give you a warm welcome. Wonderful shop - first class service always.

Located at the centre of Clerkenwell's Little Italy, Gazzano is the go to deli for home-sick Italians. I shop there for homemade ravioli, Italian breakfast biscuits (Mulino Bianco), fresh cheese, cured meets and Christmas products, such as Panettone, Pandoro and Chocolate Torrone. The shop looks small, but they have a big selection of products. Prices are not too cheap, but fair considering these are mostly exported items. Service is good and you can pay by card. Closed on Mondays (as Italian shops do!). In the summer, they serve homemade gelato!

suddenly found so many italian deli shop around farringdon. this shop definetly gives you the best price for those italian biscuits and tinned simmenthal beef. Plus, people there was just so friendly!!!! and i quite like their decoration, and the arrangement of products, also their typing and writing on their black boards. Definitely it will become one of my favourite shop in this area!

I used to go there at least once a week for my weekly shopping, until I once noticed that a pack of brioches I had previously bought had a sticker over the pack showing the expiry date 4 months ahead. Unfortunately I found the fraud only once I opened the pack and noticed the real expiry date on the single brioche. Eventually I asked for the refund! Needless to say they just lost a customer. If you really need to buy something from Gazzano's, just make sure that the product is not past its expiry date.

Dear Igino Fucci, First of all we would like to apologise for the delay in responding to your review. Until recently we have not had an online presence so were not aware of the review to be able to resolve your complaint. To explain, from what I can understand you seem to have picked up a product that appears to be out of date for which we apologise . It is not normal for this to happen here at Gazzano’s, we take product shelf life very seriously. While I understand your frustration in finding a product that appears to be out of date, we would ask that you come to us in store and we would have been more than happy to make sure that you get either a refund for that product or a replacement that is in date with a normal shelf life. Again we are extremely sorry for any distress this may have caused you at the time. So that you are now aware we are now monitoring our web presence more closely and hope that this does not happen again. Kindest regards The Gazzano's Team
