MONTREAL Parti Quebecois Leader Pierre Karl Peladeau is quitting politics for family reasons. The 54-year-old Peladeau made the shock announcement at a news conference in Montreal this afternoon. Peladeau says he is choosing his family over politics in what he calls an agonizing decision. He recently split from Julie Snyder, his longtime partner. They have two young children. Peladeau was elected last May with 57.6 per cent of the vote in the race to succeed Pauline Marois. He fought back tears at the news conference, where he took no questions.
Hundreds of people made their way to the Timmins Home Show looking for spring renovation inspiration. CTV's Natalie Van Rooy reports.
