From a unpublished LinkedIn recommendation: Niels was a drunk and a f*** up. Now that he is sober, he's just a f*** up. A quote from a former roommate: Niels looks like a clean cut Mormon boy. You couldn't tell just from looking at him that he was a raging alcoholic.

Had a very successful game of Runequest today. I had 6 players show up even though I was only expecting 3. It was my first time running Runequest and we all really liked it. We all liked the setting and the vibe of both the system and the setting. I'm looking forward to playing it some more!

Crypts and Things Wrapping Up
This campaign wrapped up about a year and half ago but I had pitures that I took so I figured that I should at least post them.  Over the course of the game, the party fought off a Valk (think Mongols on steroids) invasion,  a Serpent Man lead revolt, and t...

Last weekend I ran DCC RPG at the Orem, Utah Dragon’s Keep for Free RPG Day. Only one of my two players showed but fortunately for me, I managed to recruit two other GMs whose didn’t have any players show up so we played with three players and three characters: A wizard, a warrior and a thief. One of the other GMs was my friend Joe that I play with in a 5th Edition game.
Everyone had a blast despite a TPK at the end which came down to a single die roll. If the warrior would have hit the evil sorcerer with the tendril arm, he probably would have killed him and the party would have survived. But…he didn’t and the evil sorcerer kept on rolling spectacular spell checks and the wizard was the last to fall as his body was torn to pieces by magic missiles. Overall, it think that DCC RPG was hit. My friend Joe did think that it was interesting that your spells have roughly a 60% of failing when you cast them.

Crypts and Things Remastered Beta Rules actually play.
Back in February, I conducted a one shot play test of the new Crypts and Things Remastered rules by D101 Games.  I have run two other successful campaigns using the original Crypts and Things in the past, I was a Kickstarter supporter for the new rule set a...
