I recently posted a piece I wrote concerning what to do about the likely closing of almost 700 college bookstores at campuses across the United States, and I'm posting it here because one of the things that I'm proposing to do with those those spaces is turning them into campus publishing centers. I found an ant nest in the compost and I think I found the queen. I've tossed the lot of them in a mason jar, along with a few of the eggs I found. I'm going to see if I can't get them to start a colony. After they've settled, I'm going to transfer them to our ant farm.
