We were exploring St. Louis for the day and decided to stop in here for food. The owner and staff were exceptionally friendly! If you go, I highly recommend the crab rangoon. Its a must! Their lemonade is outstanding as well. Overall, the food was good and I even tried a new chinese beer that did not disappoint. They made my list for places to go when I come back!

The worst place ever!!! Be aware. So awful, taste like ...don't know how to subscribe. Old cooking oil, bad smell, almost no meet, just smelly vegetables...Nasty, horible place!!!

Visited the Chinese Noodle Cafe this past weekend. Owner Peggy is courteous, pleasant, and funny. When we ordered the spicy cabbage she exclaimed, "Everyone have cabbage fever! All tables ordering cabbage!" We tried the chicken noodle soup, spicy cabbage, and hot & sour (or 'Synergy') soup. The hot and sour soup was amazing. Thick, fragrant broth, perfectly balanced, teeming with a medly of ingredients. The chicken noodle soup was perfection, tender noodles swimming in a broth so delicious I have started on a quest to recreate it (fingers crossed). The spicy cabbage was a simple dish, dressed in a sweet +savory + sour dressing and is VERY HOT. I could only take a few bites at a time. Spice enthusiasts will love this simple dish. Atmosphere is very casual. Perfect for when you are hungry for good food and not so much looking for a fancy environment. I highly recommend.

Everything we ordered was superb! Definitely going back and recommending this place to our friends. The hot and sour soup lived up to the expectations after reading so many positive reviews. I also had the spicy cucumber, which will be something I order every time I go back.

So this is easily one of the best tasting Chinese restaurants in stl. I had the general tso chicken and the steamed potstickers and my gf had the white meat chicken noodle soop. All I can say is wow!

Food was decent but completely ruined by poor customer service. Upon walking into the restaurant, no one greeted us so we figured it was seat yourself. However, the empty tables were dirty with food scraps strewn about. It was a good 10 min before the owner came to give us menus and offer us drinks (then we had to repeat our order for 3 waters, 4 times before the owner could remember) and to semi-clean the table. I was ready to run out but my wife and her friend wanted to stay after hearing the food was quite tasty. Given that we weren't too hungry, the three of us ordered two meals to share. The owner asked us if this was enough (with the underlying tone that we were being cheap). As a Chinese American, I am aware of the reverse racism that goes on in my community, and it's annoying. The waitress and owner were so busy kissing the asses of non-Asian customers that they essentially ignored us. Food here wasn't good enough to put up with the poor service. Glad I don't live in St Louis!

This is the best Chinese place i have ever been to. Their portions are gigantic. You get what you pay for. Everything is always fresh and delicious. The owner is super sweet and even let me sample some food to see what I thought. It is the BEST crab rangoon i have ever had. They make it fresh there, I saw them sitting in the front after they were just made and ready to be cooked. i don't even want to eat any other chinese food. This is where you need to go, folks!

My husband and I ate at the Chinese Noodle Cafe for the first time tonight, and it was amazing. The owner was out at the front of the restaurant and greeted us, and our server sat us immediately. She asked if we had been there before, and when we said that we hadn't, she offered recommendations from the menu. She brought us each a hot and sour soup (which was excellent) to enjoy on the house while we waited for our main dishes. The food came right as we finished the soup. I ordered the General Tsao's Chicken that is served with rice and ginger broccoli, and my husband ordered the Hunan Beef, both of which were incredible! The portions were large, and the ingredients were fresh. The service and food were the best Chinese we've had in 3 the years we've lived in STL, and we will definitely be back again!
