John, your comments (criticism and all) were shared amongst discussions with Discovery Education and Discovery Communications leadership.   The result can be found here:  http://blog.discoveryeducation.com/blog/2014/04/29/good-news-from-discovery-education/

I respect and appreciate your willingness to seperate the decisions made by one part of the company from the other divisions.   That said, Discovery leadership made what I believe to be an admirable decision, and a clear demonstration of support for the teaching profession.   Thank you for your contribution to the discussion.

Just realized one of the features I'd like to see:  A running/excercise/'moving' mode.  A setting you that you toggle, that makes modifies your head angle (my normal 30 deg is way too much while running), keeps the screen on longer at a time, and adjusts the sensitivity of the touch bar so it's more forgiving while in motion.

And of course, the ability for apps like Strava to engage and disengage that mode automatically.
