Every election cycle is said to be existentially important. This time, it's true.
I'll admit I have significantly less enthusiasm for Bernie and Hillary than I did for Barack Obama; were either of them to win the presidency, I'm certain there'd be no tears in my eyes on election night the way there were wh...

Hard to know if the videographer is serious or not. My guess is he is. Which is pretty sad, because it's about as bogus as it gets, especially in reading his responses to questions. First, he states that the "stones" came from him, after a flush. That means, of course, that they're not gallstones at all because, as I've written elsewhere (http://surgeonsblog.blogspot.com/2008/01/flush.html) it's literally impossible that they're gallstones, for several obvious reasons.

Second, his claim that the vinegar enters the gallbladder via the bloodstream is, clearly, a claim based on no substance. Does he believe that it wouldn't be metabolized first? Is there any proof whatsoever of his claim, which would presume that blood is altered dramatically in pH with no impact from regulatory mechanisms? That blood entering the gallbladder is in any way different before and after drinking the vinegar? Seriously? For that matter, that blood chemicals have anything at all to do with the makeup of bile in the gallbladder?

His title suggests "scientific proof." He has no idea, it's apparent, what that means. He's not alone, of course. In the past few decades the US is being led away from science, very deliberately, for political reasons. The more people understand about how things really work, of course, the less likely they'd be to fall for the manipulations to which they're subjected every day on right-wing TV and radio.

Want proof? Do this: take some of those turd curds and have then analyzed by a reputable lab, and see if they are consistent in any way with gallstones. Or better yet: have an ultrasound that demonstrates gallstones. Then to a flush. Then have another ultrasound to see if they're gone, or changed in any way. Report back.

Why do I care? Two reasons: first, if people actually have gallstones and are symptomatic from them, the last thing they need is a clearly bogus (read my blog, I have no skin in the game at this point in my retirement) plan which could lead to serious consequences. Second: I'm truly worried about the future of the US, as attempts to substitute b.s. for science are becoming more and more epidemic, and successful. Oh man. Is our country ever screwed!
