Very nice staff and reasonable priced boats. Alan (or Allen) helped us set the crab pot, tie the line to the buoy and add the weights to our crab pot. He also showed us the crabbing location and drove the boat out of and back to the harbor for us. The boat ran very well. We caught a lot crabs and had a very good time. We would like to come back for another crabbing trip.

As a former employee, I can tell you that the staff at Zittel's will do everything within their power. Nick and his maintenance staff are skilled in everything from dock repair to slinging out your boat. They take pride in their work, and can be trusted to provide reliable bottom painting and zinc replacement.

We reserved a pantoon boat, which we were told could accommodate up to 10 people. We had a couple of guests in town so we called a few more friends so we could all go out for a good time. Once we go there, we were told the boat could not take ten people and we would have to upgrade to a speed boat for $100 more. Given the misinformation, we thought the upgrade should have been complimentary but, alas, we wound up paying more because of their mistake.

We stopped for fuel, water and ice and not only were they extremely nice there was no rushing to get us off the dock. One of the employees came down and showed us where to find water on the dock. This might seem a strange thing but anyone using a marine ice box would know what I mean when I say, "they have good block ice". It is dense and keeps longer then commercial block ice like Ready Ice. It kept a week and a half in hot weather.

Visitors beware!!! The owner has posted a sign requiring visitors to check in at the office and pay a $5 parking fee. The problem is the sign is positioned on the north side of the private driveway heading down the hill to the marina. Trucks and boats parked along the road often block the sign from view. If you don't see the sign, the owners threaten to call the sheriff if you fail to pay a penalty. They also apply the same penalty if you park on the separate parcel of land above the marina, where there is no sign at all.
