I get you capt cut throat. I am a jazz player who does lots of basslines and chords together at the same time. These guys are all rock players doing the best they can. If I get one I'll get a demo up sounding like a B3 is actually being played!

Wow. That was dreadful. Maybe someone should have warned Yngwie about writing compositions that are just your favorite licks. He is a great guitarist but if I hear one more Harmonic minor, Phrygian Dominant, or diminished lick I am just going to puke. He needs to get some new scales and quit ripping off baroque chord progressions. This is so boring...and it is really sad that an artist with so much potential is just stuck in a never-ending loop of repetitive, faux classical mush where one composition can barely be distinguished from another. I don't hate Yngwie. I just wish that every time I stumbled across him I didn't feel like it's 1983 again. The only differences from 1983 is that Yngwie is a little more of a douche, has gained some weight, and I got a music degree and no find his compositions worthy of listening to. He needs to get some theory and composition classes under his belt so his audience of neo-classical metal worshipers can realize that there are more than 3 scales in existence. Before you all get your panties wadded up, yes I have heard him play the blues scale as well.

James holds a degree in Music Theory and Composition with his concentrated instrument being Jazz guitar. He has studied composition under internationally renowned composers Dr. Trevor Weston, Dr. Edward Hart and ASCAP award-winning composer Dr. David Maves. He studied classical guitar under Grammy Award Nominee Marc Regnier and Jazz guitar under Jim Bastien.
