Fatwa Issued against Teen Singer for Singing Songs against Terrorism

A fatwa was issued against a Muslim teen singer in Assam for singing songs against terrorism.

16-year-old Nahid Afrin has been granted protection by the government after nearly 45 Muslim clerics issued a Fatwa against her for singing songs against terrorism and IS.

Afrin said she was shocked and heartbroken to see the news on TV, but many Muslim singers gave her the inspiration to continue singing. She believes God gave her the gift of singing and she will not stop using that gift.

The police are investigating the matter to find out if the Fatwa was issued as a result of her performing songs against terrorism and against the IS.
