Of course Super Bowl commercials have been the topic of discussion these last couple of weeks in my marketing class. The BMW i3 commercial with Katie Couric and Bryant Gumbel is one of my favorites. It's hard to believe that 'the Internet' was even in question not too many years ago.

McDonald's sparked controversy with their latest 'signs' campaign. I felt a heartwarming wave of emotions when I watched.
A new McDonald's ad campaign is drawing controversy from critics who accuse the fast food giant from profiting from disaster. You know...

With so many on Facebook during office hours, a new enterprise service could prove a strong competitor to the likes of LinkedIn and Salesforce Chatter.

My favorite thing about the Super Bowl is the release of so many new commercials and advertisements, and some are already beginning to make their debuts. Dove provides a bit of a tearjerker with this Dove Men + Care ad.
Dove Men + Care releases its Super Bowl commercial that celebrates dads.

TOMS is a brand that I have been passionate about since its start. I purchased my first pair of TOMS Shoes in college, and my collection has grown immensely in a variety of styles since, and not just in terms of shoes. I love a brand with a mission. Being a fan of Target's seasonal designers, I was thrilled to hear about their most recent collaboration with TOMS this holiday season. Not only will they offer exclusive TOMS Shoes in the store, but there will also be clothing items and home goods. Shoes, meals and blankets are some of the 'one for one' donations that will be seen during this campaign. I've got my eye on the blankets and hope to purchase one as soon as the campaign arrives in stores this holiday season.  http://goo.gl/otRptR

Loved jj twigs! My husband had one of the sandwiches, and I had a pizza. Their gluten free crust was one of the best that I've had yet, and the pizza options are awesome if you're looking for something more non-traditional. I believe the pizza I had was the 'Louisiana Purchase,' and it had a garlic/cream sauce with spinach, bacon, chicken and onion. I've been thinking about it since we ate there last weekend. I'm already ready to go back and get this pizza again!

One of my favorite boutiques, and I love that there is a location at the Boulevard and one inside West County mall; two convenient locations. I love the fun little home goods that the store offers (they also carry Rifle Paper Co. products and Kate Spade New York) as well as all of the jewelry there is to choose from. They also carry my favorite illume candles during the holiday season. I haven't found anyplace else local that sells them. Great store!

For some reason my husband and I haven't been back to Maggiano's since our rehearsal dinner there over three years ago (which was a great experience, might I add!), but we decided on that for dinner last Friday night, and it was even better than I had ever remembered it. The service was great. We were told our wait would be nearly an hour, but as we roamed around inside Crate & Barrel across the street for only 20 minutes, our pager was already going off telling us that our table was ready. Their gluten free menu options are superb; all of the pastas and sauces can be done GF as well as salads and dressings. They even bring out gluten free rolls (which is definitely rare in a restaurant). Not to mention, everything just tasted amazing. They also have a special with their pastas that you get to take a pasta to-go too (in addition to the leftovers you may already have). Why it took us so long to go back, I'm not sure, but I'm glad we did, and I'm already looking forward to going back again sometime very soon!

MX Movies provides a great, unique movie watching experience. I love the idea of a quaint, yet upscale movie theater nestled in downtown St. Louis. The bar inside is the perfect place to have a drink or a bite to eat while you wait for your show to begin, and they even play classic black and white films on a projector over the bar. The vibe is great, and the bartenders are very friendly. The seating inside the actual theaters is comfortable, and the opportunity to order anything, even candy, from your seat is superb. Many theaters offer this type of experience now, but MX Movies makes the experience more personal than that of Wehrenberg. The only downfall is that there are very few theaters inside MX Movies so there will only be a select few movies showing (and some of the top new movies don't always open here), and shows sell out rather quickly since the theaters are small. These factors make this a much more exclusive experience though, which I love.

SO good! My husband and I just went here this past weekend. We love BBQ (he's always loved it, and I've learned to love it ;) ), and we love trying all of the local BBQ restaurants around town. We decided to try Smoking Barrels BBQ because it's in our new neighborhood, and we loved it. We ranked it toward the top of our list of favorite local BBQ joints. Love that it's sit down, but still casual, the beef brisket and sides (especially the green beans) were amazing and the sweet tea was to die for. I was actually craving more all afternoon. We will definitely be going back; I think it will be a great place to take our families!

My favorite St. Louis pizza restaurant, and I love all of the locations. I especially love the way that each location has the feel of the neighborhood that it's located whether that be eclectic, urban, trendy or otherwise. They have great gluten free pizza crust, local brew options on tap for my husband, and their bacon blt salad is my favorite thing on the menu. Dinner at Pi, dine-in or carry out, is always an option in our home.
