Cross Country Staffing was proud to support Tenet Healthcare in their annual Healthy Over Hungry Cereal Drive with more than 100 boxes of cereal donated. This annual campaign is designed to provide healthy, well-balanced breakfasts for children and families that are struggling with hunger during the summer months. More importantly, it benefits those in the local community.

Social responsibility has always been of great importance to Cross Country Staffing. “All of us here at Cross Country are proud to be a part of Tenet Healthcare’s Healthy Over Hungry Cereal Drive. The health of all people – especially children -- is something very close to the hearts of everyone at Cross Country. I’m so very proud that the Cross Country family has come together to donate more than 100 boxes of cereal, as well as financial contributions, for this wonderful cause," said Vickie Anenberg, President of Cross Country Staffing.

“Children who regularly stay active and eat a healthy breakfast have fewer chronic health problems and do better in school because they have increased concentration and more energy. Unfortunately, during the summer months many children do not have access to the school meals that they rely on. Partnering with Cross Country Healthcare for our Healthy Over Hungry Cereal Drive, we are one step closer to filling the gap by providing a well-balanced breakfast for anyone in need.”

We value the health and safety of our healthcare professionals. Given the recent Ebola outbreak, we wanted to take a moment to review some safety precautions to ensure your continued well-being. Ebola Risk Exposure Safety Precautions:

- Follow the protocol put into place at your local healthcare facilities to protect yourself and others.
- Your skin should never be exposed. Use the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines as indicated at the campus or facility you are currently assigned. Ensure, at all times, to follow the proper procedure for putting on, removal of, and disposal of PPE.
- Know if you are expected to wear the following - mask or respirator, goggles or face shield, and/or gloves - and be in compliance with these protective wear guidelines at all times.
- Following the guidelines for proper hand hygiene is of utmost importance.
- Ebola is transmitted through direct contact with a person infected with the virus.
