My friend, Brad Meltzer, has a wonderful new book out today that deals with the incomparable Jim Henson. The man who created the Muppets left us in 1990, way too soon. Imagine what might have been from that incredible mind. Brad has created a delightful tribute to him. Check it out here. http://bit.ly/JimH-SB #IamJimHenson by Brad Meltzer

This time of year many people get overly busy and stressed due to all of the holiday activities. If you’re looking for a place to get away from it all and relax, you might consider a trip to what has been called "the world's most historical inn.”

Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan is located at the foot of the South Japanese Alps in Yamanashi Prefecture on the main Japanese island of Honshu. The inn was founded in 705 AD by Fujiwara Mahito, the son of an aid to emperor Tenji. That was the 2nd year of the Keiun era, which led to the hotel’s “Keiunkan” name. 52 different generations of descendants of Fujiwara Mahito have operated the inn. People from all parts of the world come for the healing properties of the Hakuho Springs. This is the oldest continuously operating hotel in the world and although the 35 rooms in the historic building have been modernized, one thing you won’t find is wi-fi.

What kind of adventure do you think Cotton would have here?

When Steve writes a book, he uses around 300 to 400 sources for his research. Most of those sources are physical books, but he also interviews experts for more in depth details. One of those experts is Noah Charney, international best-selling author & professor of art history. Recently, Mr. Charney interviewed Steve about his writing for the online literary magazine, Versopolis. Click here to read the interview. http://ow.ly/QnYh303d2zU
