Flowroute has now enabled SMS on all of their numbers. Here's a quick method of receiving SMS with a perl script.
Flowroute now offers SMS and it's very easy to handle the JSON through a Perl script.

Wondering what scheme the UK Government will come up with to fill the huge holes in our mobile infrastructure that the Mobile Infrastructure Project (MIP) was supposed to fill. 40 out of the 200+ planned sites is hardly successful!

What I found quite amusing was the interview that the CEO of Arqiva gave regarding MIP - in which he proudly described the 'innovations' used by his team on the project. From where I am sitting (in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) I see little innovative about 26metre high lattice steel masts with multiple point-to-point radio links for backhaul... Out of the 5 MIP masts scheduled for construction in the Chalke Valley (S Wiltshire), Arqiva managed to score a 100% failure rate! A little more deep thinking and innovation required methinks!
A £150 million government programme to eliminate mobile phone 'not spots' is to be abandoned after years of delay. The Mobile Infrastructure Project was announced by Chancellor George Osborne...

This is a really powerful way of sharing knowledge and technologies within the FreeSWITCH community which over time will build up to form a comprehensive library of reference material.

Well done FreeSWITCH Team for once again innovating (and building cool stuff that just works) for the community!

Cool hack Chad! I had not come across Project Oxford before - just what we need for our little WebRTC powered Sentry Gun Project!

Introduction
James Body possessed a love of chemistry and blowing things up whilst at school. Luckily, he managed to put these and a number of other disruptive skills to good use as a Regular officer in the British Army. During his 20 years service he graduated with degrees in Electronic Engineering and Design of Information Systems. After retirement from Her Majesties Service, he became a pioneer of UK based VoIP, setting up SIPCall and Gossiptel, leading UK SIP<>PSTN services. A founding member of the UK Internet Telephony Providers Association, he has championed the 'disruptive' elements of the European VoIP community. As Research Director at Truphone, he is responsible for new and exciting technologies, ranging from the handset back into the PSTN. An enthusiastic supporter of Open Source software, he sponsors the development and rapid deployment of some of the leading telecommunications applications.

The Lost Property Office at Waterloo is the central collection point to which items recovered from stations and trains within the entire South West Train area are sent for cataloguing and return to owners. The office is located underneath the East end of the station. To get there go down the escalator directly opposite Platform 5 to street level, then turn right (by McDonalds) and go outside of the station building. Take the next right turn to go underneath the station; the Lost Property office is located about 15 metres further on, on the right hand side of the road. It is best to fill in an online Lost Property form prior to visiting as this allows staff to identify your item prior to pickup. If they are successful in doing so they will call up and give you a 6-digit item code and an indication of where the item is located within the office (e.g. Box 6). There is a charge for recovery of items, which appears to be linked to the monetary value of the item. Fee for recovery of a mobile phone is £10.

A hidden gem - just walking distance from the high rise towers and modernity of Canary Wharf. The Gun is an authentic historic riverside Inn dating back at least a couple of hundred years which is located directly on the North bank of the River Thames. At the rear there is a terrace from which it is possible to sit at a table and watch the river traffic passing by and gaze across at the huge modern structure of the O2 Arena which is located in North Greenwich (to the SOuth of the river). A fine selection of ales, wines and spirits are on offer, together with a full yet reasonably priced menu. The rooms to the rear of the pub house an interesting collection of antique firearms - in keeping with the 'Gun' theme.

A fascinating insight into the phenomenal challenge presented to both competitors and organisers who participate in the tri-annual Volvo Ocean Race. The Museum is co-located with the Global Headquarters of the Volvo Ocean organization in the port from which the race starts. A comprehensive multimedia display is on offer here, with examples of yachts from previous races on permanent show outside the building.
