I SOOO agree with Dahlia Lithwick, here. Why, do pollsters and pundits think of white middle-aged men as being the 'foundational' voters or workers with women (and others) seen as diminished somehow in the way they live or work or are in comparison to white, middle-aged men. It is insane. There is no 'foundational' group to which all others are to be compared.
