Herry Patel is a tight-fisted Scrooge.

Well, I know where NOT to stay next trip through Pine Bluff. Seriously, the way it's reported that the management has acted - firing a worker after talking to a reporter that the manager told the reporter to talk to, then threatening to sue and cussing if they dared right a story, all over a 25 cent raise? Fire this horrible manager and divide his wage among the employees. This is appalling, maybe he'll threaten to sue us now? This does NOT reflect well on Days Inn...

Prior to staying here, review the Washington Post story about S. Tippen, "After a story if published, a minimum wage worker loses a job". Is this the kind of place you want to stay? I'd hope not!

You need to hire Ms. Tippin back and apologize! You tell her to talk to a reporter and then fire her for doing it. Who does not think more money is a good thing? She answered honestly and for Pete's sake the minimum wage increase is a quarter an hour. Hardly a huge windfall. This manager, Herry Patel is an idiot!

After reading a story relating to the local manager and his treatment of staff I will never grace this location with my presence. If he treats the people he sees every day with total disregard, how does he treat visitors. Management represents the business so this business must not care.

I'll never stay there and will advise all of my friends and family to do the same. The Hotel Owner/Manager Herry Patel fired his minimum wage employee after she spoke to the Washington Post giving her opinion on how life is surviving on minimum wage. He had introduced the woman to the journalist and then after he introduced them he called the journalist and threatened to 'sue him' if he published a story and then he fired his employee (who he had introduced to the journalist) after speaking with the journalist for the story.

Very cold and callous behavior. The woman never said anything negative about the business. This is an infringement on the 1st Amendment. Herry Patel may not even be the owners last name as he seems to have changed it. Dubious, unscrupulous business owner. We all should boycott his business.

I have rented from this location twice without any problems. Prompt pickup after calling them. Courteous and helpful employees. Vehicles always very clean and in excellent condition. Rental policies and fees are reviewed before the rental so no surprises. Basic rental prices are very competitive but the insurance add-ons can add up to the basic rate - so watch out. The location has experienced increased volume. To assure prompt pick-up (if desired) call early to assure prompt pickup.

A more cluttered HEB than some of other Laredo locations. Older perhaps? Entry and exit difficult due to its proximity to a very high traffic.intersection. Typical HEB product selection and quality. Employees helpful, efficient and courteous.

Standard DD fare. Quick friendly service. Limited seating +/- 6 tables Very good donuts. Ditto on the chocolate glazed. Entry and exit can be challenging in a high traffic area.

First timer here. The moist brisket is a definite choice for a first timer. Moist and tender. Slobber it with the house BBQ "sause" to give it a bit of a bite! Very good blend of flavors w/o being sweet. Sides of beans and Cole slaw. Beans were very good. The slaw was good but a bit dry. Washed it down with an unsweetened tea. Very good selection of beers. Overall hit was less than $15 for a half pound of some real tasty Texas beef BBQ. Rudy's will be on my repeat list. .

Pretty average Wendy's. Service was friendly and quick. Food was served hot. Dining room was very clean and had plenty of tables. Exit and entrance can be difficult die to high traffic in the area.

My favorite place to stay in Laredo. Convenient location with easy access to I-35. Shopping nearby. Plenty of restaurants to choose from in the area. Very tasty hot breakfast daily and an evening.meal with beer and wine several nights a week are included with the room. Rooms are large and have 2 TV's, microwave and full size fridge. Management and staff are friendly and helpful. After staying at several other hotels in the area, the Residence Inn is the one I keep returning to while visiting Laredo.
