It may be two thousand years old but the Colosseum is still the symbol of the eternal city, every year drawing thousands of visitors, meaning long queues and an endless wait.

It's an amazing place to see, I like our english speaking tour guide, she was very informative, but our group got lost after a couple hours, so I just went off on my own. It truely is amazing to see, a once in a lifetime place to visit. I went the first of August and it was very hot and humid!! If I would of planned it I would of went in October or something because there were too many people, was very, very crowded. I WOULD DEFINATELY GO AGAIN, BUT IN THE WINTER TIME :)

Of course a must see. Some helpful information: if you get a ticket for the Roman Forum, you can also enter the colosseum. I recommend going late in the afternoon, maybe at 5. From what I have experienced, the queues are a lot shorter. Since the ticket is valid for 2 days, you can visit the Roman Forum on one day, and the next you can visit the colosseum, or the other way around.

Hard to put into words how magical the Colosseum was. The history of the Colosseum and the events that took place there 2000 years ago seem hard to believe, but they happened . Truly awe inspiring and a must visit for anyone traveling to Rome. Go there in the evening when the sun is setting and you will get better pictures

Must see. Pre-book and get here early (before 9am) to avoid queues. There is also a tour of the underground and 3rd ring. I really want to do this, but you need to either book way ahead or pay through the nose to 3rd party companies who have already bought the tickets!

The colosseum itself is a pretty amazing building. However, the English tour guides are not. First off, the facts and information they give out can be pretty much found anywhere. Second, the tour guide was confusing. They told us to meet at the exit of the colosseum and then said to meet at the entrance of the colosseum. In reality, they had wanted to meet at the exit, but we got confused and half of the group was lost. The food and drinks around the colosseum is pricy too, our can of Coke was five euros! Pack your own consumables.

Sad state of affairs for the coloseum. If only it was not pillaged for building materials in the past, this impressive piece of Roman history would still be in one piece. Wasted.

It's awesome!! I imagine this place full of people and I go back in time immediately. This is the most important place of the biggest empire ever been. The Colosseum is one of the seven wonders of the world and it really worth it. There are always tons of people and you can get lost in the queue but it absolutely worth it! If you visit Rome, you would be here for sure.
