Congrats to Steve and ACES and of course, Hank.

I salute Hank Glamann (about whom I just learned quite a bit) and thank Teresa Schmedding & #ACES2015 for associating my name with Glamann. And then I thank a lot of other people:
Friday evening was an incredible time for me. After waiting most of the day to work out details of how I would receive intravenous antibiotics at home, I finally left the hospital about 7:15, endin...

So given this history, we shouldn’t be surprised at the challenges that kids in Indian Country are facing today. And we should never forget that we played a role in this. Make no mistake about it...

This will never work. It makes too much sense. And justice.
In taking aim at the judicial backlogs across New York’s five boroughs, the city is trying to address one of the most persistent pockets of government dysfunction.

"Their place at the table," reads the headline of a front-page article on yesterday's Suffolk Times, a newspaper serving the north fork of Long Island. Nothing about that phrase or the article accompanying it is visibly amiss, but one eagle-eyed reader called in to complain anyway. "Do you think that's the correct spelling of that word?", she asked the paper's editor. "It's spelled -IER."

typically inaccurate headline from Gawker. (I tried to spell the word the way this woman insisted it should be and my fingers refused to cooperate.)

Will someone tell the New York Times that white type against a desert background is nearly unreadable, at least online.
A punishing drought is forcing a reconsideration of whether the aspiration of untrammeled growth that has for so long been the state’s engine has run against the limits of nature.

The coverage of the Indiana religious freedom act has been pretty abysmal but not for the reasons so many conservatives cite. Finding information on exactly what the bill said and didn't say was very difficult. As far as I could tell, no one reported a story where something other than gay rights might be affected, while, if I understand the bill correctly, all kinds of bigotry under the guise of freedom could have been tolerated.  Props to Chris Cuomo, though, who did a bang-up job explaining the differences between the federal law and Indiana's law and trying to get proponents to explain their goal. For those who thought this law necessary, far too many seemed to run for the hills and deny bigotry while lining up for the original bill signing, looking more like people from the 19th Century.

Tom, you and your crew are the best. My car finally runs well--I didn't realize how bad the shimmy had gotten until you fixed it. Thank you so much
