Dancers do it!
I read a study about professional dancers...."Professional dancers often demonstrate fitness values similar to those obtained from healthy sedentary individuals of of comparable age".  Girlfriends, just because we can dance....are we maintaining our functional fitness outside of the studio?  Sometimes we dancers think of our body as a tool to make art, but she is a tool to do things....lots of other things!  Try this...it's fun! And if you can't do it the first time, slow it down & do it til you can...

In this class session we will explore fundamental and developmental muscle patternings. We will refine our understanding of flexion, extension and the rotation abilities of our torso.
We'll define “mindful movement” and it's relationship to our Central Nervous System. We will inquire of our unconscious, involuntary habitual movement patterns and chronic stress response.
We'll unravel current research on the brain/body connection while clarifying our Body Maps, and increasing sensory motor awareness.
 Relieve Pain, Restore Ease of Movement. Suitable for all levels, no prerequisites. Bring a thick blanket to lay on, dress comfortably and in layers for warmth.
