Story
Tagline
I am a practicing licensed architect in Idaho and have focused my design career on developing a phi proportioned pyramid home design that will provide Net Zero energy efficient living.
Introduction
I grew up in a WWII era Air Force family and lived in 38 different locations by the time I graduated from Mountain Home High School in Southern Idaho. My immigrant great grandparents were from Norway and Germany with Dad and Mom being from Wisconsin and Oregon.  Our family moved to Idaho from Florida in '57 where my Dad retired from the USAF in '65.  I am a University of Idaho '66 graduate.
Bragging rights
Design/Build of the first SIPs pyramid garage & shop, which is to be followed by the Net Zero home in 2015.
Education
  • University of Idaho
    Bachelor of Architecture, 1961 - 1966
Architecture is a five year curriculum to receive a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Upon graduation, I was commissioned a 2nd Lt. in the US Marine Corps and reported to Quantico, VA for Officer's Basic School, then on to Combat Engineer Officer's school prior to shipping off to Vietnam in March '67. Thirteen months later (thankfully) I returned home to complete my active duty commitment. Three years "apprenticeship" working for licensed architects in Boise preceded study and passing the Architect License Exams in '73.
