So it might finally be time for me to give up the crackberry and go Android. What is the best Verizon-available Android phone out there? Wondering if Cyanogenmod support is necessary. Oh, and I won't be taking the phone company subsidy so I can keep my unlimited data plan.

One major annoyance is that many manufactures don't update older phone when new versions of Android are released.  I have an HTC Thunderbolt which is about a year and a half old, and it's still on Android 2.3.4.  HTC has been saying an update to Ice Cream Sandwich is due Real Soon Now for a few months, but I'm not optimistic.  ICS isn't even the newest version of Android anymore.  If I was looking for a phone right now, I'd probably be considering the Galaxy S3 or the Galaxy Nexus.  The Nexus phones have always been rather quickly updated to the newest Android version, despite them not having the best hardware available.

So, take a <form> tag without an action attribute. Does it submit to the current URL or not? IE8 submits. IE9 does not. Should be in standards mode. Thoughts gurus? +Brian LePore +Momchil Kyurkchiev

http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/multipage/association-of-controls-and-forms.html#form-submission-algorithm I'd say that a missing action attribute is equivalent to an empty action attribute and thus should post to the current page. The note in here points out that that is what browsers are currently doing, so that is what IE9 should be doing.

See, I've always said the solution to such problems is autonomous cars.

I still love that picture and I'm 90% sure I took it. I also love the one where it looks like you are singing instead of giving a speech. :)

Anyone try the new Firefox 11 element inspector in 3D mode? I can see how it could come in handy in some cases. I prefer that it seldom be handy. #KISS

Tried it and found it completely unnecessary ... and really damn cool. I love that you can spin it around 180 degrees and see the "back" of the website.

Guess who finally hand-wrote his first XMLHttpRequest for a quickie project? This guy.

This chart is interesting to me. I either need to carefully pick a phone I can root and keep up-to-date, or I may never use the platform. :( +Momchil Kyurkchiev +Brian LePore

Oh yeah +Steve Lewis, I don't know anyone that actually has an HTC Android phone, but supposedly their policy is ridiculously simple to root. They abolished their stance on locking down the bootloader. I'm still planning on switching to a Nexus, but that is another thing to consider.
