MEMOIR OF A WANNABE LATINA BOOK SIGNING
Thursday, October 6, 2011
5:00-7:00 PM
Anne Kirchheimer at NOMAD

Anne Kirchheimer began writing this book - a memoir - in 2003 as a gift to her sons, whom she adopted as infants from Brazil.

"It's a way of telling my boys how much I love them" said Kirchheimer.

Met Magazine, Boston University's Metropolitan College magazine, recently included a compelling review of the "Memoir of a Wannabe Latina...." in their most recent edition.

Come listen to Anne on October 6 as she retells the stories of her often humorous adventures in Spain, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba and Central and South America.

A vibrant hand picked collection of things to wear, read, treasure, eat, own & GIVE! from around the world.
Introduction

Established in Cambridge in 1990, NOMAD is a world-class boutique offering an array of hand-selected international arts and crafts for personal adornment and home decor. Owner/Maven/Pioneer, Deb Colburn has united her extensive artistic background - textile arts, spinning, weaving, basket making and knitting - with her love of world travel. The result is a treasure trove of unique handicrafts from Africa, Afghanistan, India, Mexico, South America and Southeast Asia - bursting with color and artfully displayed throughout the store.

We buy many of our items direct from the artisan, keeping cultural traditions alive. NOMAD is a firm believer in "fair trade" and a buyer from many Aid to Artisan groups world-wide. We also host visits from the artists, giving our customers the rare opportunity to learn from the masters first-hand.
