I'm doing more +Google Cloud Platform office hours next week in Boston, MA.
I'll be hanging out at Thinking Cup near the Boston Common (165 Tremont St) from 3 to 5pm. Come chat with me about BigQuery, Firebase, or whatever cloudy thing is on your mind :)

Google engineers have experimented and developed a set of building blocks for the Internet of Things - an ecosystem of connected devices, services and “things” that promises direct and efficient support of one’s daily life. While there has been significant progress in this field, significant challenges remain before the IoT becomes a reality.
In order to address these challenges, and to foster collaboration with the academic community, we are inviting university researchers to participate in the Internet of Things (IoT) Technology Research Award Pilot, which provides selected researchers in-kind gifts of Google IoT related technologies.
To learn more about the technologies, and how to submit a proposal, visit the Research blog, linked below. Proposals are due February 29th. We look forward to seeing what you can do with our software and devices!

Open Source Release of TensorFlow
I'm very excited to announce the open source release of the TensorFlow machine learning library that I and many others at Google have been building.
This blog post gives an overview:
http://googleresearch.blogspot.com/2015/11/tensorflow-googles-latest-machine_9.html
The web site has a number of tutorials and documentation about the system:
http://tensorflow.org
The source is on GitHub:
https://github.com/tensorflow/tensorflow
You might also be interested in the whitepaper we've prepared that describes TensorFlow in more detail:

We'd love to hear what people think.
