So I've spent the last 20 minutes staring at "Fetching update 98%", after weeks of spontaneously rebooting of my Gen2 CC. I'm about to attach the thing to a Barney target the next time I visit a shooting range. Anyone else experiencing this problem? All I can do from the Home app is disconnect the device at this point... The IP address I've statically assigned is pingable, which does me zero good. Everything else on my network can see the rest of the world.

Happy New Year!

Warning this is a post about poop (and x-posted to FB & G+)

So... Shadow has had diarrhea for almost a year now. The vet has done physical (non-x-ray, non-sonogram) exams, prescribed meds, and eventually one of the vets @ the practice suggested moving off Blue Buffalo to Hill's W/D. Still on-going problems. Weight loss, too, probably from both the poop issues and W/D being a weight loss formula... (Since we have 2 dogs, both Shadow and Charlie were on it, both lost weight, but Charlie never had the same problems)

Eventually moved to a mix of W/D & Purina EN, moving to 50/50, for both dogs. More weight loss, still the diarrhea (for Shadow... Charlie could probably eat anything and be OK, aside from the weight). We decided to transition to just the Purina EN (and at $97/34lb bag, that's painful), and both dogs are putting on weight. But... Shadow still has the diarrhea. He's gone twice in 20 minutes tonight, with the "*bark* Daddy, I really want to go potty". Fortunately both are gaining weight back.

But... At this point I think we've tried nearly a year of medication and dietary changes, and yet Shadow still is exhibiting problems, even with prescription food that "should" fix his problems. Anyone have any idea what else we should do or insist our veterinary practice look at? I'm tempted to insist on X-rays, to rule out a tumor or something, since it's been going on so long.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it...

I made an interesting observation today. I often have feelings of loneliness at work. But today, I spent most of my time alone in a server room, and didn't feel lonely for a single minute. I was dealing with something I was singularly qualified to deal with, so was just concentrating on that. When I feel lonely, I'm surrounded by people interacting, which I'm not a part of.

It's almost like being forced into the usual environment I'm currently in is toxic to my well being. I know I can't force others to interact with me, but to quote Stabbing Westward, "if I must be lonely, I think I'd rather be alone", since it seems I won't actually be lonely then.

Breakthrough? Bullshit? I really don't know. Just if people are around, I want to interact, even if I can't. If they aren't, I'm pretty much OK...

It was extremely weird, Friday night at B Dubs, for our weekly get-together, to hear "3 A.M. Eternal" playing. It's not unusual for me to play it at home, since I'm still a huge fan of The KLF, but to hear it in public? Bizarre.

Not really a sports fan, but this fight is interesting. I just don't know who I want to cheer for...
