Ralph's is the oldest family run restaurant in the United States. If you are interested in that sort of thing, then you have found the right place! If you are looking for truly good Italian food or a charming waitstaff, you are probably better off looking elsewhere. The pastas offered by Ralph's are average (at best) but carry a higher than average price. Aside from the history and the Old World decorative charm of the dining area, there is little reason to give Ralph's a visit.

Go here for the history as it's the oldest family family run restaurant in America. Now apart from that nothing is exceptional. The space is very small so you are gonna be cramped. Service wise you gonna get some attitude from the oldie bald waiter. Who smiles only after you tip him. Just eat anything, doesn't matter! Nor will the waiter help you. So just do whatever you feel like. But yes they have the history and one should experience that.

Food is delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very relaxing. The waiter are very friendly. Depending on the time you're going it is hard to find parking, but they have a valet parking service. Valet parking service cost $10. One of the oldest restaurant. Found in the 1900.

Finally got the chance to try Ralphs. Atmosphere was what I expected, old Italian style ,small tight. That was fine. We had mussels in a red sauce. Very good. Now Bread got to have bread for dipping. When I took a bite of the bread " wow" very musty smell to it. Then we both had a veil dish.Veil was very gamy tasting. Any way all this hype can't say I would go back any time soon.

Not all its cracked up to be. Chicken picante came with a bland sauce and 2 thick pieces of tough chicken. Antipasti was described by the menu as Italian specialties over a bed of Romaine. I asked the waiter what the Italian specialties were and he said meats and cheeses. Turned out to be mostly Romaine and Iceberg with 4 thin pieces of rolled up salami and 4 pieces of cheese. Scampi came in a strange creamy, salty sauce.

We had a phenomenal dinner here this evening. It started with the Italian bread that is the best that I have ever eaten end nothing tastes as good as there traditional Chianti. For dinner we shared the fettucini alfredo and chicken parmesan and then we finished everything with their homemade Italian rum cake. There is nothing as good as this family-owned restaurant that is over 100 years old. You should give them a try if you are looking for a delicious traditional Italian meal.

Food was delicious! We had the chicken parm and shrimp scampi. The restaurant is tiny but has an authentic vibe. Service was good and food came quickly. The prices are fair for the amount of food you are given. We'll definitely come back!
