wow - i haven't been on here in quite some time. A lot,has happened over the last few years, since i regularly posted on here.

In about 2 weeks time, we will be residents of Utah. Pretty stoked on that. Never realized how close to "everything that is amazing" Salt Lake City is.

Already planning several trips for fall color - to CO in September and southern Utah in October/November. Great thing is I can get to Zion and back on my days off (or Tetons, Moab, etc etc) and not feel like I have been driving forever.

Just picked up a 4 season mountaineering tent for the upcoming winter - hope there is snow.

This was taken April 2nd I think with +Brian Kibbons

this is from my 6 hour trek into here - the glorious Mt. Stuart and Jack lake, located in the Enchantments. I left my buddy +Brian Kibbons in here for sense of scale. Might make the cut for the 2016 calendar :)

Still not 100% happy with it, but lighting was harsh up here during our overnight trip

Something a bit different. Went out with #3 (aka +Brian Adelberg ) on my first outing with the D700 3 weeks ago, and got jacked on the sunset. It had all the elements for an electric sunset, minus the color. So I worked this while sipping on some Hennessy, and came up with this :)

The F5's last stand. Took the camera in to get repaired, and then it will be painful for me to sell it - but I won't be using it as much, and it needs to go to someone who will use it.

Lower Lewis River Falls, as seen the 3rd week of October I think.

Well, today was a bust for the most part. The Gorge is cooked (duh), so now it is mountain and beach season for sure. In any case, +Brian Kibbons made the mistake of letting me use his 16-35VR lens. I almost stole it from him.

It was kinda funny though, as I had no idea as to how to operate AF or anything, as I haven't had an autofocus lens in like 3 years. I have to say that this lens is probably the best lens I have ever used, and I have used quite a few lenses. The Zeiss 21mm is probably better, now that I think about it:)

I tried my hardest to not like the D700 - but I am failing

First real outing with the "new' D700. I am truly blown away by the files from this camera. I loved my 1Ds, but it was super old. I still don't know how to use live view, lol. Oh well.

What really amazes me is that this old Tokina lens is phenomenal. I can't wait until I get a "real" lens soon. Taken with +Brian Kibbons today. Running on 2 hours sleep ..
