Such an inspiring story of photographer Shannon Johnstone and the dogs that she captures with her images.

Interesting article on one of the uses of technology in a dog's life - kinda like wire tapping/GPS/email all in one.

Here is my handsome young father in Chicago following his WWII tours- around 1945-46 - when/where he met my mother. He was born on October 11, 1920 and his spirit released in 1993. Happy Birthday, Dad.
I am staying in a motel tonight on my way to visit my sister - my room number that was randomly given to me. . . 304 . . . dad's P.O. box number for his last 30 years. Hello, universe. I am listening. :)

Love this poem "Dog Spelled Backwards"
DOG (Spelled Backward)
This pic I took of my best   FUR end +Sissy Northey  made me think of this poem:

When God had made the earth and sky,
The flowers and the trees.
He then made all the animals,
The fish, the birds and bees.
And when at last He'd finished,
Not one was quite the same.
He said, "I'll walk this world of mine,
And give each one a name."
And so He traveled far and wide
And everywhere He went,
A little creature followed Him
Until its strength was spent.
When all were named upon the earth
And in the sky and sea,
The little creature said, "Dear Lord,
There's not one left for me."
Kindly the Father said to him,
"I've left you to the end.
I've turned my own name back to front
And called you dog, my friend."

Article is from 2009 - but relevant as St. Roch, patron saint of dogs, is honored throughout the world in Christian communities. This celebration in Bolivia honors the dogs and is lovingly written about.
