Phet Coggin, LCPC
Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychotherapist

Phet is a licensed clinical professional counselor who specializes in providing individual counseling for adults, adolescents, children and their families. She received her Master’s degree in counseling from Northern Illinois University. Her experience includes working in the community outpatient agency, hospital, and school settings. Phet has working knowledge of IEPs and 504 plans, and continues to collaborate with schools with recommendations while advocating for her client’s needs. She has extensive experience working with clients in crisis and assisting with stabilization.

Phet’s approach is client-centered and individualized to meet her client’s current needs.
Her goal is to assist clients to reach their potential well being through education, teaching, and modeling skills, while assisting to identify barriers that prevent change. She is an empathic and compassionate listener who assists her clients in creating positive changes. Her therapy approach is guided by dialectical-behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapy.

As Phet views humankind as ever-changing, she analyzes and imparts valuable counsel to her clients accordingly. Phet recognizes the complexities and sophistication of today’s society and the diverse residents living in it; she is also able to discern that each client is unique. Her versatile approach, therefore, is key in restoring clients confidence, core values, and competence.

Claudia Skowron, M.S., LCPC, CADC

Claudia is a licensed clinical professional counselor who has also attained her CADC certification. She graduated summa cum laude from Illinois State University earning her Master’s degree in Clinical-Counseling Psychology. Her previous experience consists of working in a community mental health center in central Illinois on an outpatient basis. She then transitioned to the northwest suburbs of Chicago where she began working with adolescents struggling with severe emotional and behavioral distress at the inpatient and partial hospitalization level. She has also trained, mentored, and supervised younger clinicians and enjoys teaching.

Claudia has extensive experience conducting Cognitive-Behavioral, Dialectical-Behavioral, and Motivational Interviewing therapies. Yet, her therapeutic approach is eclectic, meeting the needs of her clients. “A certain approach that works with one individual may not resonate with another; it’s my role as a therapist to meet each client where they are in treatment and adapt the most appropriate therapeutic interventions.”

Claudia enjoys working with adolescents and families, as well as young adults and young couples. Her level of expertise shines in individual and group therapy, and she is frequently attending conferences and trainings to stay up to date on the newest therapeutic treatment modalities.

Claudia is also fluent in Polish.

Stephanie Sinnett, LCPC
Child Therapist

Born and raised in Elgin, Stephanie is proud to be serving the mental health needs of children and families in Elgin and the surrounding community. Stephanie graduated magna cum laude from Northern Illinois University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She completed her graduate degree at Roosevelt University which earned her a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology in 2010.

Stephanie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a specialized expertise in treating children and adolescents. Her previous experience includes providing therapeutic and consultation services to children as young as age 4. She has held various supervisory titles in surrounding community mental health agencies. She demonstrates skill in working with high risk populations and clients in crisis.

Stephanie believes in treating children through a family systems approach, taking into consideration family dynamics, including the family’s strengths and weaknesses. She has experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum, anxiety disorders, behavioral disorders, ADHD, and mood disorders. She holds a special interest and advanced training in treating victims of trauma, child sexual abuse, physical abuse and neglect. Stephanie uses an eclectic mix of therapeutic approaches catered to the individual needs of her clients. She uses play therapy, behavioral modification, social skills training, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma focused therapy to reduce symptom severity and to increase functioning. Stephanie collaborates with schools regarding 504 Plans and IEP recommendations.

Her warm demeanor, compassion, and sense of humor allow her to create a strong therapeutic bond with children and families.

Kathleen Kronn, LCSW, CADC
Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychotherapist

Kathleen’s efficacy in therapy originates from her patience, her sincerity, her optimism, and her ability to be a perceptive listener. Kathleen demonstrates an excellent organizational and time management skills and a strong work ethic.

Kathleen exhibits excellent competency with the use of motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy, twelve step principles/concepts, strength-based, and trauma-informed practices in a clinical setting. She engages patients by establishing rapport, and is able to utilize theory and techniques to assist patients with meeting their individualized treatment goals. In addition, Kathleen zealously advocates for her patients with outside providers and family members to address any presenting barriers to sustainable progress after treatment while maintaining a delicate patient service approach.

Kathleen’s level of expertise extends to individual, group, and family therapy. She explores coping strategies and provides advocacy for patients which empowers them to be stronger individuals. She encourages patients to develop realistic plans for the future in terms of dealing with potential future crises.
Kathleen received a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society and in Psychology at Purdue University. She received her Master of Social Work (Clinical/School) at Aurora University
