We had a one-week stay in Lampllehen and it was brilliant. The owner and staff are all family and friends. They treated us warmly with every encounter. Owners are multilingual; Czech, German & English are all used interchangeably. Breakfast is typical German with meats, cheeses, breads, eggs, yogurt, musli & more. Dinners are variants of Czech, Italian and German. We finished everything! Our room was spacious double bed with a desk, table with a chair and another lounge-chair thingy that converts to a bed if you want a third bed. Television - works fine but we didn't watch. They have a really fast internet connection so we avoided TV entirely. Additionally, we got great advice about local attractions. So good that we altered some of our plans and very we're happy for the local knowledge. Only one complaint was the local farmer spread manure on the meadows! Obviously not done every day so our timing was just unlucky. The smell only lasted a couple days..... We really enjoyed the Lampllehen overall - can definitely redo!

Wife & I stayed 10 nights @Maple Farm. It was ideal for many reasons. 1) We needed a central location as base-camp for our exploration vacation. 2) Quiet and comfortable facility with swimming pool and garden for relaxation after hiking and exploring all day. 3) Friendly owner/operator are a local family with plenty of local knowledge to help us with directions, recommendations and even a free tour of their vineyard and olive grove. . We enjoyed the supplied breakfast which was fresh local breads, meats, cheeses, marmalade, jams, strawberries, melon, oranges, bananas, yogurts, cereals, coffee, juices, milk and fresh eggs. They also bought a specific cereal I liked. This was just another example of their personalized approach to providing a comfortable experience which was greatly appreciated. . Our room was well-appointed for B&B standards. We had the en-suite bath, toilet and bidet. There was TV, free Wifi, double-bed, refrigerator, stereo and air conditioning. More than expected frankly.... we also had extras not all B&Bs have: a separate desk and separate make-up table, closet space, two separate nightstands with individual lighting controls. We had free electrical adapters too! . On our second night, we returned to find wine glasses in our room. They had noticed we bought some local wine. So rather than waiting for a request from us, they simply provided wine glasses. I realize its little effort, yet they were anticipating what we want and serving accordingly. . The rest of our stay continued in the same manner. My opinion is a strong recommendation to stay at Maple Farm. I'm very happy to have stayed there and hope to someday return.

My wife and I have eaten here 5 times. Each time the food has been outstanding and by far the best reason we return. With Friends. Service is very good most times, with only a few exceptions which are rare. We like it so much, we are going there a 6th time on Thursday to celebrate my brother's birthday. For a great experience, I recommend the three-course menu. You can choose from various offers that comprise the three courses. Nothing I have tried ever disappointed and I doubt anything ever will. Čestr rivals the Ruth's Chris steak house chain in quality - I just wish they could duplicate the garlic mash :-)

We arrived and quickly seated at table next to toilet. Seats not a problem, they are high stools with high table like a bar and we can see entire restaurant. The menus came quickly and drinks were brought quickly as well. Then nothing further. We watched three wait staff talking among themselves with another patron at the bar. We saw them seat two couples in tables by the bar and return to take their order. Then a group of three sat in tables beside us as food was delivered to the two couples we saw being seated earlier. Staff came back quickly to take orders from the group of three beside us - then turned to walk away. I was waving which her colleague noticed and sent her back to take our food order. My wife expressed that we're hungry and she said 'sorry'; then took orders. No effort was made to make up the time or expedite our food. We watched the group of three beside us receive their food and finish eating before ours arrived. By this time we learned the routine. When a bell rings upstairs a waitress goes to get the food and deliver it. While we're waiting, we hear the bell. We know its ours because everyone else was served. We are the only ones without lunch!! Bell rings again. The a woman comes downstairs empty-handed and tells our waitress something we cannot hear - but she goes up the steps begrudgingly. We did finally get our food. It was good. My perch fillets with pasta and vegetables were really good. Its a shame the wait staff were so poorly serving us.

My wife & I went to Rogantino's without a booking. We were welcomed as if we are family and treated wonderfully. After a brief tour of the building and grounds, we sat in the main dining hall which has been previously used as a chapel. We accepted Tony's recommendations and dined on zucchini soup and roasted suckling pig with green beans and potato slices. Service was attentive and very courteous. Could not have been better. They are trying very hard to please and it shows. I just wish we were staying longer in Malta so we could repeat the experience. We'll have to come back again. :-)

We enjoyed the food more than the service. Whilst they were nice, they treated us rather casual, As if we were nothing special; just another table. On a Monday evening with only two other tables in the non-smoking area you;d think they'd try harder. We did receive an unexpected 'gift' from the chef. It was delicious tiny portion of a crouton-sized bread with a creamy cheese and chicken bits. It was tasty! The one problem we had was the price of wine. Only noticed the next day, we reviewed receipt. Wine charge 1267 czk. But the wine we chose was 772czk. That's nearly 20 EUR difference! It was a great Malbec, Argentinian, but we suspect not the same year as advertised in menu...... I wish they had said so. Not likely to have cause us a concern, just a bit odd and suspect that it wasn't called to our attention. They just charges for the more expensive bottle and revealed nothing. I only noticed the higher price on receipt next day. When we looked at deserts, my wife wanted a specific Grappa from the menu. They didn't have it in stock. Only the more expensive one was available. We accepted the higher one and didn't give it a 2nd thought. Until the next day.

Have eaten here 10 - 12 times in one year we have lived nearby. Staff is friendly and welcomes us. We never have a problem seating or getting served. Food has been consistently delicious and generous portions too. Only complaint is they run out of the Croatian wine we like!
