A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to shoot at Caddo Lake in east Texas. We spent most of our time on a boat drifting through passageways draped with cypress and Spanish Moss. We also had some pretty nice sunsets.

Thanks for looking!

After bluebonnets fade in the Texas Hill Country, the reds and golds of Texas wildflowers begin to appear. Right now in Llano, Mason, and San Saba Counties, the firewheels, bitterweed, and coreopsis are going strong. The problem is the weather hasn't been great. Still, I snuck in a few chances to photograph the landscape. See more in my wildflower gallery here: www.imagesfromtexas.com/gallery/texas-wildflowers-photos

After I discovered this amazing sunflower field, I made a few return trips at sunset to capture the field as best I could with evening colors. This Texas Wildfowers Image was photographed just north of Hillsboro, Texas. I didn't know if the sun would be blocked by the clouds, but the sunrays came out from behind the clouds and created a sunburst of light. Even though the bluebonnets and wildflowers from the spring of 2013 have long since faded, spring offers hope eternal!
