I was told that this company was once under the name of Autumn Heating and Cooling. Please "Google' that name and you will discover NUMEROUS complaints. Unfortunately, I am one of them. They installed a new Lennox AC and Heating unit. The AC quit working just a couple weeks after the installation. This was August and temps were in the low 100's. They couldn't come out for four or five days! In desperation, I paid to have a local fellow come check on the until. It was then I discovered all the faulty workmanship - some of it quite DANGEROUS. The heating unit was installed wrong - Carbon Monoxide would have leaked all through the attic. Thankfully, it was summer and I hadn't used it yet. They hooked up the AC incorrectly, too, and cut corners any way they could. So much so, that the unit sits very crookedly on the slab so that they didn't have to use any extra copper piping. Today I just found at another very serious and dangerous issue. Autumn Heating and Cooling - now AC Express - had to take down the stairs leading to the attic, along with the entire frame around the stairway entrance. They had a guy come out and put it back together when they were finished. I just had a guy out to service my water heater and he said the stairway is VERY dangerous!!! It said it is not bolted in correctly or supported. It was so dangerous - he had to reinforce it himself before he would go up the stairway - it was ready to fall. This is in the house - we walk under it every day in our bedroom hallway - and it could drop on our heads at any time! I now have to hire a carpenter to fix this, too. Autumn Heating and Cooling is cheap - and they had good reviews on Angie's List which is why we used them - but I see they are no longer on that list. No Wonder. The workmanship they did was not only very poor - and their service terrible - but things were absolutely DANGEROUS to my family. PLEASE STAY AWAY from this company!!!

I wish there was a ZERO star rating for them. Service so horrible I wonder if I'm on Candid Camera. Took time off work for them to do heater check and tuneup. Technician was a NO SHOW. Called office and they rescheduled me. Appt #2 they called me and said technicians went home sick. Rescheduled. Appt #3 they NO SHOWed me again. Appt #4 they called and said guys were running too late. Appt #5 they NO SHOWed me again. I am am very patient person but this is ridiculous. I've taken off work 4 times in 2 weeks for them and they are completely irresponsible. Always some excuse. JUST DO WHAT YOU SAY! Today is appt #6 and we'll see if they show. Hard to believe service could be this bad. I don't know who owns this company but I hope he or she is reading all the horrible reviews and will fix these problems. Shame on you for such horrible service. Once this appt is complete I will never use you again. Update: Due to their proven incompetence, called to confirm this morning's appt and sure enough, MORE EXCUSES. Tech will not be here as promised. Why am I not surprised? Enough nonsense. AUTUMN HEATING AND COOLING YOU ARE HORRIBLE!

This was a great experience. They installed it quickly. They responded quickly and they communicated with us very well. They came on time and were very diligent towards their work. I will consider using this company again in the future.

To the reviewer that was unable to get these guys to come out, count yourself lucky, very lucky. Autumn sold me on a new system (compressor, furnace, everything) a few years ago (for $5,569), and have had serious issues with the system ever since. After a couple of weeks after their install, the brand new A/C system did not cool the house. An Autumn technician came out and claimed that the 'service valves' were not properly closed by their installer -- they recharged the system and left. Two months later, again, no A/C -- Autumns comes out and claims there is once again no coolant in the lines, they recharge the system (and supposedly add dye to help find the leak). Rinse and repeat for at least 2 YEARS, Autumn coming out, recharging the system, and never finding/fixing the coolant leak -- they probably came to the house 5 times to recharge the system, always with an excuse about how leaks are hard to find and acting as if this were completely normal. Finally I got fed up with the incompetence of this company and called CSR (in Cedar Park) who ascertained that the system once again had no freon. He found the leak and let me know that the (new) evaporative coil was the issue -- and, due to the continuous freon leak, the evap coil was rusted out and needed to be replaced. Note that the CSR technician found within MINUTES what Autumn could not figure out over many repeated service calls for the same issue. I called Autumn and told them what CSR found and was told by the Autumn representative that "the owner" would call me back. Of course no one from Autumn ever called me back. I've had CSR fix a bunch of other issues left over from the Autumn installation fiasco, in addition to the evap-coil replacement that had a major leak: both plenum boxes falling apart, missing insulation on the cooling lines, burned-out blower motor because Autumn didn't install the cheap ECM protector, AC lines to outside compressor not insulated/sealed (thanks for the rats in the attic Autumn), huge gaps in the ducting around the blower (leaking cold air into the attic for the rats to be comfortable), cleaned out the A/C lines to remove all kinds of goop (presumably "stop-a-leak" seal crap that Autumn put in), etc, etc. Basically, myself with absolutely no knowledge of A/C systems could've done the installation job better than Autumn did. The repeated visits, just recharging the system and leaving, is shear incompetence and is probably border-line illegal (if not outright illegal) from the environmental damage of all the leaked freon. Stay away from this company, tell your friends and neighbors to stay away from this company. If you've found this review after already having Autumn install a new A/C system (heck if they even had ACCESS to your system), do yourself a big favor and call a different company to inspect the your system before permanent damage is done. On top of it all, the CSR representative told me that Autumn never filed the warranty paper work with the manufacturer (required within 90 days of install), so my supposedly 10 YEAR manufacturer warranties are only 5 YEAR warranties. CSR says that they always file this paperwork on behalf of home owners when they install systems and that Autumn should have at least TOLD ME TO FILE IT if they weren't going to do it. Luckily, since the system was still well within the 5 year warranty, CSR was able to swap out the evap-coil and blower under that 5 year parts warranty, with myself paying labor / refrigerant costs only. To summarize: I've spent well north of $2,000 repairing the mess Autumn left me with, and have lost 5 years of manufacturer warranty on top of that. I have the deepest regret for ever letting Autumn touch my original A/C system.

Make sure you run both your A/C and heat before you let them leave! Had Autumn come out to service my A/C this summer and then when I tried to turn my heat on a few months later nothing happened. I had another company come out that was recommended by a friend and they found the gas valve to my heater was in the "OFF" position. Hmm...I wonder how that happened considering nobody has been up in the attic since. Very disappointed that a company would be so sneaky and dishonest.

Furnace went out this weekend... Autumn Heating & Cooling came out the same day and fixed it. Eric did a great job and gave me a great price. We will refer these guys to everyone!

They successfully replaced my upstairs A/C with a working unit, and I've had no problems with it after a year. But after casually talking with the technician when the work was done he told me that the price I paid was too high and he would have done it for less than half of the quoted price if I had gone to him directly.
