I went here on a Sunday after church with some friends. At first I was a little apprehensive because the place was empty. That apprehension was much misplaced. Los Reyes is a hidden gem tucked away in the shopping center by an old HEB. The food was fantastic and the service was wonderful. I had Migas, which is something that few places do well. It was great - not too dry and not too soggy and had great flavor. The salsa served was outstanding. The restaurant is really conveniently located and is certainly worth checking out.

Drinks are good but food was not!!! Had to be frozen and microwaved. Don't know how you can mess up enchiladas but it happened twice.

I've been eating authentic Mexican/TexMex food for over 30 years, and this is by far the best Mexican restaurant in Central Texas. The quality attention to detail in the spices and preparation of each dish is definitely unique to the culture, and cannot be compared to chain franchises and other Austin favorites. They use homemade tortillas, and their breakfast tacos are made to order...not like Rudy's where they are sitting under a hotlamp with tortillas imported from somewhere in North Dakota. $1.50 brewski's of Modelo?? - Heck yea! Serranos and others charge $4.50 for a pint. Come to Los Reyes and you'll see.

New in town, we were driving around looking for a hole-in-the-wall Mexican place. We found one of about 500 of them in Austin, and made a great choice! Los Reyes is easy to miss, off of 183, and when we walked in on a Sunday around dinner time, we were a little nervous because of how slow it was--there were maybe 3 other tables of diners there. From the giant, deceivingly heavy margaritas (for $7.50) to the huge portions, we left both satisfied and sickly full. The marg mix tasted home made, and the food was just as tasty. Three of us (one kid, two adults) ate for under $50. The salsa was a little hot for my wife's taste, but she doesn't like heat as much. No fault to the restaurant--I thought it was great! Will definitely be back.

Very good salsa, often find myself eating chips and salsa after the entree arrives. Hard to find a fresh and handmade lunch specials that's better than theirs in the area.

I've eaten at Los Reyes probably twenty times, and with the exception of the heartburn that I get from their carne guisada, the food is amazing. My favorite is the huge $5.99 bowl of tortilla soup on the lunch menu. This is a serious meal, easily the best tortilla soup I've ever eaten.
