During a recent trip to Crete, +Daniel Noll and +Audrey Scott (+Uncornered Market) explored the island of Crete. They both had the opportunity to discover the diversity of food in Crete and as they say: When it comes to Cretan food, you could say it features the three F’s: freshness, fragrance and family.

Meteora, Greece

Meteora must rank, for me, as one of the most awe-inspiring places I've been to, and I've been to quite a few. Not only is the landscape of sandstone pillars breathtaking, but atop many of these pillars are perched ancient monasteries that are still thriving. Get there at sunset or sunrise and you have the makings of some great photos. Here we see the 16th century Monastery of St. Barbara, just after the sun went down. You can visit the monasteries. Some are easily accessible. Others require climbing hundreds of steps. All are beautifully decorated inside and offer exceptional views of an exceptional landscape.

Today we visit Corfu, Greece, the second largest of the Ionian Islands. The island’s Geek name, Kerkyra, is related to Greek mythology, namely Poseidon, the god of the sea. In 2007, the island’s old city was designated for the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The old city, where this image was taken, is a labyrinth of narrow streets paved with cobblestones. The buildings, as one would expect, are old and, while a lot of them are kept up, there are a few like this one that shows it’s age.
