I have been eating at this restaurant for almost forty years since it moved from the other side of the road. Three generations of my family have eaten in this restaurant. It has always been great. Then along comes Reza Rad with really silly observations. This is Hong Kong sonny. People speak Cantonese here. It is always much better to appear to be stupid than open your mouth or commit to words in writing and remove all doubt!

Don't get fooled by it's name, this is NOT an American, but a typical Chinese restaurant. Great Chinese food, Very good service. Great price-value. Reservation will be needed on weekends.

A great piece of Hong Kong history, and now my favourite duck in Hong Kong (before Peking Garden, but that's gone downhill in every location). For those that said "in an American restaurant the waiters can't speak English" - I hope they are being funny. This is a Peking (Beijing) style old school HK establishment. Nothing American except the name to attract US sailors in the 1950's. The waiters and chefs have worked there for decades. Dishes to try; roast Peking duck w/pancakes (of course), crispy fried pork sweet & sour (so crispy) and Peking style noodles. Scallops with garlic and salt & pepper squid also delicious. Great fun, noisy and packed so book ahead. Great with beer.

Bad service. waiters of an american restaurant couldn't talk English! even a sentence. Food quality worst of all.

Peking-style Chinese food, catering to foreigners' tastes, with big helpings and some gimmicky "house specials". Tasty food overall.
