Great Honeymoon at Hyatt Waikiki! Really enjoyed our short stay at the Hyatt Waikiki. We arrived a couple of hours early and exhausted from leaving on the first flight from Portland. The lady at the front desk was cheerful, polite and very helpful, confirming our room choice and getting us checked in at 1:00 instead of making us wait till 3. Much appreciated! Staff was great and the location of this hotel is wonderful. Close to the beach and close to plenty of amenities in the attached mall. Need a coffee, manicure or bottle of wine? It's right there. Great bed and big bathtub too. View was excellent from the 24th floor to boot. All in all, fantastic experience. Reasonably priced and would definitely stay here again. Thank you for everything!

Great place and the people there was so friendly. I would stay here whenever we come back. The room was clean, and hotel was quiet during the night. Our view of the ocean was beautiful, and we slept peacefully with out sliding door open to keep cool...and we went during January! Can't wait to go back! Hawaii is one of our top places to go!

AMAZING!! AMAZING!! AMAZING!! We just returned from a week long vacation and all I can say is AMAZING!! The hotel was wonderful, clean, organized and the staff were so..................friendly. They treated us like royalty from the minute we drove up to the front to the moment we left. We were 3 families traveling on vacation with kids and everyone was wonderful!! The valets took there time when we arrived and left as we were loading and unloading small children into car seats and managing 1 stroller. The SHOR restaurant at breakfast and dinner always had food and drink items for kids as well as snacks to go. Adult meals were delicious and the staff consistently catered to your table as if you were the only guests there. The staff were wonderful and always so accomodating!! We did enjoy room service one night and again WOW-quick to respond and deliver food! I cannot say enough about the hotel and service as I remained impressed throughout our stay. Our room was lovely and always immaculate once we returned from a day of activities. I highly recommend this hotel to all families as well as couples as I saw at least 3 brides and parties and they looked like they were all having a wonderful time as well. Our flight did not leave until later that evening and once again they allowed all four of our rooms to check out at 1pm. So wonderful and accomodating - I cannot say how wonderful they are!! I hated to leave, but we are already planning our trip for next year. We will be staying here once again!!!

Best hotel I stayed at through out my life!!! I went there on February and it was the most grand hotel I've ever stayed in!!!Tidy room, great service, shopping malls at the bottom lobby, a Jacuzzi and a large pool, located right across Waikiki Beach, in one of the busiest tourist city, and LOVELY!!! (that's the best part). The worst part in that takes a long time to reserved a room. It took me, my mom, and my brother to wait at least an hour for a vacant room. Though the wi-fi internet had some problems... very slow... The radio beside the bed was cool!!! Lovely to have a k-pop channel in Hawaii. I am a Korean that loves kpop and listening to wonderful korean pop was extraordinarily awesome!!! Thanks Hyatt for making my vacation at Hawaii wonderful!!! Mahalo!!! #THANKSHYATT!!! #MAHALO!!! (by the ways loved your 2 cockatoos!!!)

Good room and very convent to the beach and shopping and anything to do at Waikiki. They should improve customer entry as it is confusing how and where to check in. Also there are a lot of activities in the lobby area that do not involve hotel but are geared to tourists. So the lobby is unusable for guests.

Location is terrific. If you can afford it book a room over looking Waikiki from one of the higher floors. The view is incredible . They are redoing the decor. We had one of the new rooms. Very nice refresh. It's noisy though which us to be expected with the location. So long as you are higher up its bearable. I imagine lower down would be less so. Overall a great choice of hotel if you are looking for a Waikiki location right in the middle of the action.

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Stayed here for my wedding/ honeymoon. We booked an oceanfront deluxe room 6 months ago. I made my reservation half a year ago, and they could not get a single thing right during my stay. I have to say that this is the worst hotel and motel experience I have ever had, even before we got to our room. When we got to the front desk at 5 PM, the rooms weren't ready. WTF? I thought check in was 3 PM. They sure make you leave on time during check out, and charge you extra for staying a couple hours after, but I guess it's OK for Hyatt to make you wait to check in more than 2 hours after the standard check in time. They gave no reason. That wasn't all. As I said, this was supposed to be my wedding/ honeymoon stay. So what do they do? When we opened the door to our room, we saw that they had put us in a room with 2 beds. I specifically stated, "honeymoon" on my reservation, and requested 1 king bed 6 months ago. WTF? Is there something I'm missing here? If I was working front desk, and the reservation said "honeymoon", then I would think that the newly wed couple would want a room with 1 king size bed. It seems logical to me, but I guess they just didn't get it. My fiance blew a gasket at this point, and I reluctantly had to spend a good amount of time on the phone angrily complaining about the room and trying to get us re-assigned to the room that I requested 6 months ago. I keep mentioning that because you would figure that 6 months would be enough notice. Anyways, they insisted that there was no room anywhere else during our entire stay. Liars. Then, they had the gall to ask us if we were interested, for $100 more per night, to put us in a better room, again, with 2 beds. I wanted to start breaking things at this point. So now, I wasted a whole evening in Waikiki, in a room that I didn't want, angry and stressed out. I'm pissed, and my fiance is even more pissed. This is not quite how I imagined our first day at the hotel. We were finally moved to a room with a king bed on the last day that we were there, but we didn't spend any time in the room because that was our wedding day and we were out all day. All that move did was make things more complicated on a day that was already complicated to begin with. We basically used the new room for luggage storage. We checked out the next day. What do you know. The in-room express check out system isn't working. I called the front desk and they put me on hold for like 30 minutes. When I finally connected, I told them I accept all charges and I was leaving. They said OK. They offered no apologies, no refunds, no nothing. When I complained about our stay, which was more of an ordeal, they comped us the wireless internet usage. 9 bucks. Whoop dee doop. We were both absolutely disgusted. I guess this is how they treat all of their honeymoon guests. I paid a buttload of money for nothing. Thanks Hyatt for ruining my wedding/ honeymoon stay in Waikiki. In short, I will not be staying at a Hyatt hotel ever again in any part of the world. This hotel comes highly NOT recommended. They would have to pay me what I paid them to have me stay at any of their hotels ever again. I am very bitter about the experience, and I will always mention to my traveling friends never to stay at a Hyatt. I would give this hotel negative 5 stars, but I can't. Worst Hotel EVER!
