I have some openings next week - feel free to text me or private message if you want to come in! I have some new massage product on the way - organic light gel from Biotone! I love new products! Who wants to be first?! "Pure Touch Organics Massage Gel gives an earth balanced formula and a smooth, satiny glide. Organic ingredients, hypoallergenic and unscented you get more coverage than oil so you use much less. Organic Jojoba, Shea Butter and Sesame deliver rich nutrients to the skin. Organic botanical extracts of Chamomile, Lavender, Lemon Balm, Passion Flower and Sage provide soothing and healing properties and help reduce stress. Can be used for all modalities. Contains Worry-free washout™ to ensure easy removal and stain-free linens."

I love pregnant clients & being a certified pregnancy and postpartum massage therapist! Pregnancy is so amazing!!! Yah for massage:)

whew. Just spent 30 min. explaining what a deductible is to client & spouse and to the hmo why I collect from the client a payment for services rendered until the deductible is met (in theory refunding the client if an overpay is made - which hasn't happened to date.) If I don't collect it as the patient comes in, they don't understand why there's a bill when massage is covered by their plan. I find it's easier to collect as I go and explaining their insurance plan to them (or even conference-calling like I did this morning.) And in the case of a hmo, the clients often think they need to pay the hmo not me. So it's just easier for me to have them pay me as they go until that deductible is met, but there's often some confusion. I do love my job really I do! And taking the time to explain or have their insurance customer service really explain their plan is a big help to folks. Now off to do some vacuuming and laundry making everything nice for my fab clients today!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Mine just started! I do have some openings for massage next week - I've been updating my outgoing voicemail with the details so it makes it easier to book with me by texting or leaving me a voicemail back. And today entered my first recipe (pancakes & sausage in my sandwichpress) on mfp, and I looked up the compatible applications that can synch up with mfp which include turning my smartphone into a pedometer or trainer buddy or hrm bands & their related apps. Has anyone used any of these? any recommendations? I don't think I'd want carry my cell on me or in my pocket constantly but it's an interesting notion. details of apps here http://www.myfitnesspal.com/apps
