Can finally cross Fig & Olive off the list. Probably one of the more popular upscale dining venues in LA, F&O definitely offers the ritzy ambiance and service one would expect from a place like this. Very impressed with the lounge area. The couches look super comfy. The main dining area has a very clean look, contemporary design, very chic. Once the sun sets, the mood and ambiance becomes very intimate and romantic. *Drinks* FIG & OLIVE DIRTY MARTINI Belvedere Vodka served with house made olives & brines 16 -Thought about getting wine, but I'm at a place where Olive is the theme, gotta have at least one dirty martini, make that a very dirty one. *Apps* TRUFFLE MUSHROOM CROQUETTE 14 Cremini mushroom, parmesan, béchamel - Truffle Olive Oil aioli -The first thing that hits you is how awesome this smells. You can literately smell it from 4 tables down. If you haven't had it, and your neighbor orders it, you are gonna regret not getting it. It's very rich, cheesy, and creamy. It's pretty amazing. -I was a little pissed when the person who brought up the plate, the garnishes fell apart because the guy simply wasn't careful enough. I'm the type of person who tend to bask in the presence of beautiful presentation. FIG GORGONZOLA TARTLET 16 Prosciutto, fig, walnut, arugula, scallion, tomato on thin puff pastry -I tend to not get any salad when I come to fancy places like this. But recently, I've been trying to stay healthy, so this was a very good compromise. +This appetizer is big enough for 2 people to share IMO. It's very complex when it comes to taste. You get the creamy savory flavors from the cheese, the sweet flavor from the fig, and the slight bitter flavors from the arugula. Very balanced and interesting dish. I was very glad that I got to try this. *Entrees* PAELLA DEL MAR 33 Black tiger shrimp, sea scallop, calamari, mussels, saffron rice with chicken, green pea red bell pepper, artichoke, saffron aioli, pimenton & oregano - Hojiblanca Olive Oil -Beautiful presentation, perfectly cooked scallop and shrimp. The texture and flavors were on point. Not the most interesting dish, but a very safe choice if you don't mind the seafood. ROSEMARY LAMB CHOPS 39 Grilled, smoked à la minute with a bouquet of Herbs de Provence, goat cheese & chive gnocchi roasted honey, thyme eggplant - Rosemary Garlic Olive Oil -Was told this was the flag ship dish by the server. Man, what a flag ship it was. The presentation was absolutely stunning. This dish stimulates your sense of smell, sight, and taste. +They bring the dish out covered, and they open it in front of you. And smoke comes out with the fragrance of roasted rosemary. Hands down one of the best presentation I've seen this year. And that was all just smell and sight. ++The taste? It was amazing duh! Perfectly cooked medium rare lamb chop. Perfectly seasoned,a little bit smokey and not very gamy. Most likely drowned out by the aroma of the rosemary. +++This was the star of the night, though I wasn't blown away by the gnocchi. Might have been a good thing. Don't want little garnishes to take the spotlight away from the main event right? *Dessert* MIXED BERRY CROSTATA 12 Filo dough, vanilla mascarpone, cointreau syrup mixed berries and micro-basil -When coming to places like this, I always like to get blown away with their amazing work of pastry art. +Not gonna lie, they had me at mascarpone, the filo dough just peaked my interest even more ++it was a very balance dessert, cream and tart, soft and flaky. Very pretty, not too sweet, and all sorts of wonderful textures. Though it wasn't the perfect experience. I really enjoyed my visit here. Would love to come back and try some of the entrees that are served table side. I love how beautiful the interior design is. Absolutely stunning. Can't wait til next time.

We were a party of 15 with an advanced reservation for a Saturday night. The restaurant was packed. They put together 4 small tables and squeezed us in a corner. It took the server at least 45 minutes to attend to us. The food was good but not for the price. Portions are average. The ingredients are fresh but there is nothing more than an ordinary meal there. The only exceptional thing was the dessert, particularly the apple tart. If I go for a second time, it would only be for dessert.

This is my favorite restaurant to go to. Their food melts in your mouth! Last weekend I went there with my boyfriend and some friends from out of town. We got the beef carpaccio as an appetizer for all of us. Best sauce ever! Delicious! I ordered the fig and olive chicken. The waiter was really convincing. He told us that it was a Moroccan style dish with the little grains. It was one of the best dishes I ever had!

A very cute mediterranean and italian style restaurant. Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday and both the appetizer and the dessert turned out to be great! The crostini are quite delicate. We are a group of four so we got to try different toppings - the mushroom one is really good. Their dessert menu is very good as well.

This was a great event. The sitdown dinner format lends itself better to conversation and getting to know fellow Yelpers than does the typical free for all style. As a meal, it was pretty good. The food was generally satisfying and the experience overall was sufficient to get a sense of what an actual meal at Fig & Olive would entail. As a Yelp event, it was awesome and well put together by Ruggy and the restaurant staff. A large group of people were able to come together and get a good luck at what an establishment has to offer. Fitting that many people into a room and feeding the all to satiety is quite impressive

Fig & Olive is unbelievably scrumptious. I came here for dinner with a reservation and was seated right away. First thing I noticed was the interior decor. The restaurant was dimly lit with candles on every table and with jars of olive oil lining the walls, definitely a great setting for a romantic or intimate dinner. I ordered one of their speciality cocktails to start and looked over the menu. Everything looks so tasty it was hard to choose what to have. I ended up ordering their Truffle Mushroom Croquettes and Paella de Mar. After taking our order, the waitress comes back with bread and 3 different olive oils to dip it in. I don't know why I was surprised by having three olive oils to choose from, since this restaurant is called Fig & Olive. The waitress was very helpful in explaining each olive oil and even told us which was her favorite. Next, came our food. The Truffle Mushroom Croquettes were mouthwateringly divine. The outer crust just made the creamy inside taste so much better. The Paella de Mar is absolutely delicious. I have never had paella that tasted this heavenly. The seafood in the paella was also cooked perfectly. The shrimp was huge and cooked just right. The scallop was just as huge and perfectly cooked as well. I would recommend both of this dishes and the restaurant in a heartbeat.

Enter this airy, open, relaxed space & u feel as if a robed attendant may at any minute walk up to you with a glass of wine & a handful of grapes. Bottles of olive oil surround, it made perfect sense that a sampling of them was brought to the table as a starter. Great cocktail list, nice wine selection. We shared several small plates and the filet, which was one of the finest steaks I've ever had. The truffled scallops were perfect - no sponginess, just succulent tender meat accented with a deeply aromatic truffle. Also really enjoyed the crostinis, the avocado soup, and the truffle penne dish with mushrooms was superb - perfectly al dente. Fresh cocktails for the season and attentive service. Fantastic all around!
