Live country music is served up in this hip, upbeat, sprawling honky-tonk with a taco truck outside.- Google
"This is hands down the best honky tonk in Austin."
"The surprising part was, the tacos came out way faster than my order wait time!"

Great music venue and dance space, best I've seen in Texas. The bathroom was the worst bathroom I've ever seen, worse then any outhouse or portable bathroom. The place looks a little beyond grungy. Bottom line: enjoy the great music.

Whether your hipster or not, this is your country music spot. They have this daily special there for $5 you get a 16 oz. Lonestar and a shot of Whiskey, you can't beat that. Its also a great mixture and tastes so good together. Live music and a nice outside patio with a really good food trailer inside the venue. I recommend you come to drink and dance at this place.

This venue has great atmosphere. The two-step dancing lessons are fantastic! I also like the live music. I recommend people to come and check it out.

Even though most people think it smells like throw up upon entry, I still love this play through and through. There are always great two steppers (usually older than your dad) ready to show you the ropes as well as the younger crowd taking a stab at it. The outdoor area is large and gives you some room to breath and the bands are always fun to watch/dance to.

Has there ever been a bar the was this fun? To be honest, i couldn't tell you; the whiskey flows like water, the inane conversation drowned out by music that runs the gamut of genres, the crowd starts dancing, then everything gets hazy.Voted in 2013 as the bar where people made the most "bad" decisions, this place is what every bar aspires to be; a loud, drunk, good time.

Like to dance? I was surprised to see strangers asking strangers if they'd the next dance and not seeing anybody turned down. Very laid back and very friendly.

Go to the bar and order a Two Step. Your night will go better from there. Now an Austin institution, it's a great place to hang out but better to bring out of town friends as a Hipster Honky Tonk is one of the images people will like to take away from their trip. They have a trough in the Men's room that you will smell the second you get in the door. Move quickly past and you'll be fine.

This is hands down the best honky tonk in Austin. I met both of the owners when they were working at Hole in the Wall a few years back. Both of them are great guys, extremely hard working and genuine. I'm glad they made the leap because this place is quickly becoming an Austin staple.
