MPs will approve IEBC commissioners on Tuesday amid the Nyamira Senator's criticism of the process as "opaque and rigid".Senator Kennedy Mong'are, who will vie for the presidency in August, said the decision by the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee was "just a rubber-stamp and lacked substance".Mong'are said the vetting was hasty and that the approval of nominees with integrity questions presented a major loophole.

Zari Hassan just welcomed her second child, Prince Nillan with Tanzanian mega star Diamond Platnumz.One would think, this is a walk in the park for the self proclaimed mom-prenuer, who bounced back to her before-pregnancy bod, just like that. But it is not. Zari revealed that motherhood has it's challenges especially with Diamond away on tour, leaving her solo in the house taking care of Nillan and Princess Tiffah.

Punjani released on Sh20,000 cash bail
Mombasa tycoon Ali Punjani has been charged with causing disturbance by fighting in public with the sons of slain drug baron Ibrahim Akasha. Punjani allegedly engaged in the fight, with others not before the court, at Rahjan Bar and Restaurant in Kisauni on January 1. He denied the charges before senior principal magistrate Francis Kyambia and was released on Sh20,000 cash bail.

Something odd is taking place in the Mt Kenya region, otherwise a strong Jubilee zone. A silent rebellion is festering beneath the surface. There are strong undercurrents of dissatisfaction. Curiously, it is not limited to a particular county. There are murmurs in Kirinyaga, Embu, Murang’a, Meru, Nyeri, Nyandarua and parts of Kiambu.

Raila said it was unacceptable for Duale to threaten a judge.
