Excellent atmosphere! Order your margaritas in a mason jar. It's a great place to gather a group of people and just hang out. The decor is cool. Service is great. It's very comfortable, but has a hip vibe with the dj booth and live music. The guacamole stood out to me as very good and unexpected for a spot like this. The pizza was good and the night I was there they were doing a special like half-off on the pizzas so that was an unexpected bonus. It's good to go for dinner and sit on the patio or hang out in the bar with a friend and just have a few drinks.

Horrible.experience.! My boyfriend and I came here to grab a bite tonight (late night, right before their menu switched from full to just apps). We sat at our table for 10 minutes, had multiple servers walk passed our table (one making eye contact with me more than once) and no one even said "hello". The bar was not busy and, once we recieved service, took a very long time to receive our drinks. The swrver spent a majority of our visit sitting at a table "rolling silverware" aka sitting at the front of the restaurant on her cell phone. My turkey club was "average" bar food. The mashed potatoes were suppose to come with gravy (they did not- and were very bland). My boyfriend's sweet potato fries were cold and not cooked all the way through. None of this could be complained about because the server was no where to be found. She came by our table once during the meal. I'm a bartender and our management would be mortified if the staff was giving this kind of service in the bar!

I was trying to figure out a good brunch spot and my good friend said Moonshine was the place we had to go. Moonshine had some tasty brunch and HUGE mimosas. The mimosas were a bit tart so they added raspberries in it to sweeten it a bit. Great addition. The service was awesome. The girls are all very sweet and quick to get whatever you need. I had the steak and eggs and it was also very good. The steak was a bit more than the medium rare that I requested but still good. I'd go back for sure!

A 40 for 20 groupon brought me into this place. There was a game on and the sound was a little too loud , but that's me being biased because i'm not a sports fan. The service was great and the food was awesome. Ordered a pepperoni pizza with spinach and it was perfectly done.

Every Michigan State bar automatically gets an extra star from me for flying the green and white! Every time I have to wait anywhere they get a one start de-duct. We are even. I was a little annoyed that their Mardi Gras celebration interfered with my game watch, all the tables were reserved, many still empty, which I have noticed in other reviews. Might be best just to call ahead and try to reserve a table to be safe. They had a special crayfish platter and lots of beads and decorations, definitely going on my plans for next year! We stood around the bar for 25 minutes and finally a wasted, at 8pm on a weekday, couple got up so we could sit, tables had an hour wait. Good service other than the fact the bartender kept $5 in change he should have given us, giving him the benefit of the doubt. I got the Applewood Smoked Bacon Burger which was really good, fries weren't super crisp but do-able. My friend said her Southwest salad was pretty bland. Lots of Tv's and a very lively atmosphere, call to reserve tables during big events and always have a back up, which shouldn't be hard with all the great places on Division.

Horrible experience. The service was easily the worst I've encountered in any major metropolitan area. The only employees who seemed to care about the customer's experience were the bussers. We waited over a half hour to receive drinks and over 45 minutes to have our food order taken. When the food finally arived an hour and a half after we arrived it was cold and bland. All of this went on in a half empty restaurant. During our visit we were attended to by three different servers, each of whom had no idea what the others were doing. Save yourself the time and mental anguish and go to ANY of the other restaurants in the area.

I stopped by here for drinks, and I was very underwhelmed. They had the mojito pitchers on sale. Our Mojito pitcher was $16 and worked out to fill both of our glasses. Since when does a pitcher work out to be two drinks? It was kind of watered down with too much soda water. It also made it pretty impossible to chug since there was so much soda water. We were pretty ignored at the bar despite the bar being pretty empty.

Moonshine is my default choice in Wicker Park. The place is spacious and they serve most of their drinks in mason jars because that's what hip people do. Brunch was kicked off with a Bloody Mary like it always is. However, $15 for the Monster Mary was steep. It didn't seem too much bigger than the regular Mary which was $7 or $8. They have a self serve Bloody Mary bar with 50 different hot sauces to choose from. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. It kinda worries me when I see the crusty caps, not to mention some of them were between 0% - 5% full. WARNING: When handling many bottles of extremely spicy hot sauce, be careful what you touch with your hands. I'll just leave it at that. Besides the sauces, they had your standard Bloody add-ons to choose from. When it comes to the food, it was your standard american bar food. Nothing ever blew my mind but I always left satisfied.
