Longtime Asian noodle shop doling out filling bowls in a bustling space with communal seating.- Google
"I like the pad thai and spicy coconut chicken."
"So go only if you're really desperate for Thai food on Union Sq."

Love this place!!!! Have been many times, very reasonably priced, fast service and delicious food. The chicken skewers are very tasty, broth bowls outstanding, and everything very fresh and perfectly prepared. You have to try Republic - you won't be disappointed!

Anyone that gives this place less than 4 stars need to have their fingers checked for crack residue. The Atmosphere is amazing, neo-contemporary with a minimalistic flair. The Pad Thai is among the best I've had. Moreover the portions are perfect, not to overwhelming and not too skimpy. I make it a point to go here everytime I am in Union Square. I I freaking love this place! Keep up the good work!

Wow -- thanks for the glowing review, Brett! We certainly want you loving every bite of your meals with us, so we're pumped that's the case. Hope to have you back for more Pad Thai soon. All the best, Edward, General Manager

Inexpensive, fusion Chinese food in a hip modern looking space. they have cocktails and some pretty cool looking bar tenders. A really good deal for lunch.

I was seated pretty quickly, 10 PM on a Saturday. It was fairly loud throughout our time there and we had to have our conversation a bit above comfortable speaking level. I ordered the Spicy Beef soup which was rather good, if not very spicy at all. The meat was a bit overcooked considering it was specified as raw on the menu. Their drink menu is pretty broad and unique. I had their Kalamansi Honey soda, which was very good. Note: Their menu specifies no substitutions or alterations. This place is definitely worth looking at if you're in the area.

We're just getting active on Google+, Matthew, but we still wish our dishes had impressed you as much as the service when you were here. Serving dishes that leave you coming back for more is a top priority for us, so we're always happy to take care of any issues in the moment -- rest assured, the meat will not be overcooked next time. Hope to welcome you back for a bowl of Spicy Beef Soup that's just the way you like it sometime soon. 'Til then, Edward, General Manager

One of the more overlooked places in Union Square. My recommendation here is the Asian Sangria and the mini dumplings. The menu is a little hit or miss, not the biggest fan of the tofu appetizer. The seating in the back is cafeteria style, it is known to get a bit loud. Service can be slow, but it is worth the wait.

Proud to be a hidden gem of yours, Bryan! The sangria and dumplings are particular favorites of ours, too, so it's great to see you're a fan. Everything about your visit ought to be on point, though, and we feel sure that will be the case in the future. 'Til next time, Edward, General Manager

The lychee frozen martini's are a must if you visit. I also suggest trying the chicken satay skewers which were an interesting blend of flavor and the accompanying veggies were good too had a sweet taste.

Pad Thai was sticky and dry, not a good combination, service was spotty at best. Not likely to eat there again.

Very decent place. A bit dark and a bit dirty but fine. Portions are pretty big. I went there for a dinner and it filled me up really well. I had something like BBQ pork pad tai or something like that. It was really good. If you are around, don't know where to go and don't mind tai food I advise you to give this place a try.
