I would like to say that we enjoyed the aquarium, but other than 3 small containers of jellyfish, we didin't actually get to see the any of the exhibits. The space was so packed with people, we literally could not see anything other than the backs of people pressed against the glass, with 2 or more rows of people pressed against them. Many times, we were pushed against other people on all sides, like unfortunate cattle being transported for slaughter. In the Riverfront building, both my son and I had to leave the building as we became overheated and claustrophic in the dark walkways.. The deafening din of voices screaming and shouting was more than any of us could bear and our family ended up leaving the aquarium without seeing anything, except for the aforementioned jellyfish, which were lovely. I am so disappointed, as this was a family day for us, and not an inexpensive one. We had never visited the aquarium before, and after this experience, we never will again. We spent over $120 to be pulled and pushed and nearly assaulted every time we attempted to get a glimpse of the tanks. Had we arrived to find the aquarium had been sold out, we would have been disappointed, but we would have understood. But, to pay such a price to be crammed into a clearly oversold venue was deceitful and a misrepresentation of what we assumed we were buying. I would even venture to guess that several fire codes were violated, as we had difficulty getting out of the building when not following the slow, shuffling herd.

It was very awesome! Went to one of the dive shows and they even have times when you can see the sharks being fed. Something there for everyone! I would highly recommend it. The town around it is very nice as well, lots of shops and restaurants you can walk to.

Me and my girlfriend went and this is a great place to hang out and see all types of little and big animals in and around water habitats. We went the day before labor day and it was kinda crowded but still fun. The small kids were so into seeing all the little frogs and fish so they would crowed around the tanks and beat on the glass! (Parents learn to watch your kids!!)

Located in downtown Chattanooga, TN, the Aquarium is one place you will NOT want to miss. The aquarium is at a beautiful location near the river and consists of two separate buildings to visit .Very nice display of aquatic life.....clean and fresh. The design of the buildings to move the flow of visitors is excellent. No confusion and backtracking not knowing where to go...excellent layout!

Would be 5 stars, but a bunch of their turtles were dead in the tanks, and no one made any effort to remove them or treat them before they died. This seemed to hold throughout several exhibits that were not connected- it's like they haven't checked on the turtles in weeks (they were very obviously dead). Other than that tragic circumstance, the aquarium was very nice, with well designed exhibits that were both interesting and educational.

Great aquarium. Two separate buildings for fresh and saltwater equal lots of great exhibits to look at. Parking might be a little expensive but it's good for the whole day. You can walk through downtown Chattanooga to see the sights, or catch the free electric shuttles very near by.
