Lots to agree with here. Granted, some of it has been said before.

Is the private sector going to be willing to sponsor Maker Days with enough to run them and fund a community manager? I would still see that role as being pretty important to getting the collaboration to work better. And if the Waste Standards project is a useful reference point, a few hours a week might not be enough :)

Sourcing challenges is a good idea but need to be clear on what problem is being solved. Is it to find new challenges that several councils have not started on? What about encouraging councils to share materials for stuff they've already done?

Riffing on some similar conversations recently, is there a step that might involve not even needing to issue a license? (thinking about taxi cabs, etc) How can this process challenge the requirement that this has to be done? Are there alternative approaches?

Surely one single role cannot coordinate across lots of projects. Does that imply various people each helping to coordinate  one service or type of project? For example a bit like the waste standards stuff I'm helping with (but even that needs a decent amount of funding to coordinate).

Also the outcome needs to be a bit more concrete than thinking, doing, sharing. What's the outcomes that Pipeline hoped to solve?

What's the one project you could steer Phil, if you had to pick one? :)
